You are dealing with a community that defends the multi-yen company even if they were locked out of the game for 2 weeks out of a month.

While I quit WoW before Shadowlands. At least the WoW players have the decency to say they hate the game and dev decisions with a passion, but play cause theres nothing else / their community and friends are there.

SE is not a good company. This is a good MMO that is being held back because of PROBABLY japanese company traditions, oldschool devs and a lack of wanting to innovate and futureproof. Which is hella weird coming from FF-series creators. FF was all about innovation. They are tonedeaf enough to burn money by not releasing immediately on PC either. I get you want to be loyal to the JP fanbase who still play most games on consoles, but cmon. PC is the future.

It's not because "japanese company traditions". SQEX acts like other companies: they invest in things when there is a big chance to get more money back than they invested. And this is the reason why FF14 is what it is. They will only then improve FF14 when there is a chance to get more subs/players because of the improvement. If they see no chance for more money then they will do nothing.

And SQEX is also not always good when it comes to try new things. Forspoken failed badly.
