WHAT A BUNCH OF JOKERS!!!! ~ Reyn from Xenoblade ^.^

Back in XI's days (talking 10 years here) 10 was the highest you could go before you started losing xp and risking deleveling. Square raised it to 30 and lowered the amount of xp you lose from level 75 down. Not taking sides here but it looks like Square is at least lowering the punishment for deaths in their games.
What one is the only one?
Ultima Online having your corpse lootable was a pretty good death penalty. FFXI just made you drop a handfull of exp, at least people were safe when they did things and didn't just slam their heads into the wall/instance/fight until they won.
Make....make them lose Anima! I bet some people would rather lose exp instead considering how much they treasure the stuff.
But really, I think there has to be some actual fear of death it's utterly silly how little people care about being murdered. Takes all the edge out of exploring the world as well when there is no repurcussion of not watching your step.
Deleveling and exp. loss upon death was one of the many reasons why I quit FF11 in the first place. For the love of God, DO NOT bring it to FF14...
Whm raise would not delevel, right? what's the point?
There's gear damage for that. Repairs can be done while in town, while losing exp causes people to take on stupid attitudes to absolutely guarantee success. You're trading one brand of stupidity for another. FFXI proved this VERY easily.
The only reason it might cause issues is because repair costs don't scale with gear damage. A repair NPC will charge you 5000 gil per lv50 item regardless of whether its at 8% or 98%.
Kindly donate to the "Duelle needs tank earrings but the damn price keeps going up" Fund. Donations can be done in person or by mail. :OQuote:
I wish I had a fear of dying to be honest.. Have too much gil that repairs don't put a dent into it.
PS: I vote "No" to losing exp upon death. Things are fine as they are. Go complain about something that might actually hurt us if left unfixed.
