A fact i love from retainers i dont want toget changed once 2.0

I don't like that idea of anonymous. Names can help crafters and help us support good crafters better.

Some times I rather deal with certain people, or help provide supplies to them to stock in trade for crafts.

There are also RMT and price hikers that need to be seen. People who buy items, raise the price of them all, screwign up our economy to make large sums of money. It's good to call them on it.

If you are goign to be in bsiness people will want to know you by name. It's more realistic.

I'm up for keeping it anonymous for that exact thing, don't want to be bothered in /t by people who want me to either trade item-for-item or lower my price etc. Do not want to have to deal with them harassing me about something being overpriced, mistaken purchases and other annoyances, nor do I care to know which player is selling what. . . .

Buying low and selling high though annoying is part of the economy. Just like undercutting (sales). Doesn't mean I like it but I don't think it should go away. Don't care either way about being anon but I would be annoyed by the tells if I was busy. If not then those tells could lead to negotiations. "sure I will drop the price to xx Gil but you have to buy 50 instead of 30"

I like the ability to see the actual price and dont mind undercutting. I don't like having to guess the prices like in FFXI. Theres good and bad to both systems, but i prefer the FFXIV retainer way/see the price way.

Who keeps necroposting?

My selling strat in FFXI was always to aggressively undercut. Sometimes I would put stuff up for like 100 gil even if it was going for 50k so mine would be the first to sell.

I miss not having the search feature in market wards and instead we would have to click each retainer just to see what they were selling until finally after 20 minutes we found what we were looking for.

I agree with this as I have recently found a retainer with all 999,999,999 items. Seriously there is no excuse for this and just clutters up the wards for those who actually do have things to sell.
