Believe me, a dirty mind is the least of the reasons why I should seek therapy.

It's been a really long time since ARR but I remember the woodworking guild master to always be kind of creepy level into wood.

"North american translators overstepping their bounds to change stuff and try to be clever/creative instead of doing their jobs" usually grinds my gears but honestly I'm too exhausted to care.

Also I don't really remember those characters being involved on the event. Did I skip something?

Putting aside Beatin and his love of handling wood, there truly are many instances of the EN localization team making some fairly significant changes. Some such instances even go so far as to completely change the message and themes being conveyed.

Most events have additional cutscenes with characters from side content or MSQ. You usually just have to go talk to one of the events NPC after finishing the events questline.

I mean, it's a suggestive quote, which falls under suggestive themes. Not really an issue there. By itself it is amusing enough I suppose. I do think, however, that the placement and timing was kind of strange, sort of like some random person making a lewd comment in a crowd with many young ears around to hear them. Like, tone it down man.
