Is there any job that's actually happy and satisfied in EW?

People don't like having things taken from them. Taking without giving is tantamount to theft, taking and giving something with low value (perceived or actual) is ripping off, and taking while providing something satisfactory in exchange is a fair trade. It's subjective where you draw those lines, but worth bearing in mind when discussing jobs changing over time.

Dragoon mains are cowering in fear of their impending lobotomy. I can't wait to see what part of my favorite melee DPS they slice off to make the new melee DPS in 7.0 :).

My guess would be on completely removing your Chaos Thrust combo, so all you're left with is True-> Vorpal-> Full Thrust and then they'll probably turn Life of the Dragon into Enshroud 2.0 where you do 4 Nastronds and finish it with Stardiver.

I'm extremely happy with WAR, quite happy with DRG, PLD, and RDM, and mostly happy with BRD. I'm just now dipping my toes into DRK and am enjoying it so far. To be honest, I'm very happy with the entire state of the game as it stands today.

Yes, I'm casual AF and have a low skill cap thanks to certain limitations. That being said, I pretty much no-life the game and do just fine the normal/DR/DF stuff I do, so even if my opinion doesn't actually count since I don't do EX or harder, at least it's an opinion borne of experience.

I think job design is one of the better things about this game. Some people even like the boring jobs because low activity works for their style or skill level. The problems imo are the content you can play with your jobs. The engine just feels so old and they've shown us everything they are going to do with it by now. I don't think ff xiv will be the vehicle to push MMOs to another level any time in the future. It's just a business now; no reason to innovate or take risks when the established model is successful for the company.

DRG/GNB are off the chain, MCH is a blast in PvP, and I've been enjoying playing the shield healers casually. Don't play the rest enough to have an opinion.

Honestly Warrior potencies aside it feels good to play. And Gunbreaker also very good feels

I was fine with SAM at launch....not so much now lol. I can't comment on pre EW black mage, but I'm currently loving the job. It feels significantly more rewarding than any of the other jobs I have at 90.
