Excessive amount of lv50/60 synced content is dragging down the skill level?

It is a mandatory raid series and people have to be able to complete their MSQ, it is required by other quests, some people are level capped and all the other raids are optional ( I am not unlocking other raids until the end of EW on alts and that is my business and I have zero intent of unlocking the Void Ark series raids at all because I don't like them nor the last Nier raid because it hurts my eyes). Besides on my main I regularly get Nier (I quit if it is the last one because despite adjustments it makes me sick) and Ivalice raids when I bother with roulette. Roulette is optional so why not queue for something else? When I want a specific raid to pop, that's what I do.

I love how the alliance roulette is somehow both absolutely required to fill CT but it’s also somehow explicitly not designed to fill any of the others, people like you who don’t unlock the other raids or people who strip starve the roulette of participants for the other raids, that is just as much it’s purpose as it is to fill CT, yet it is absolutely garbage at doing that, but somehow it’s fine it works for CT

Lol I do unlock other raids, just not when I do MSQ (time management) and not some which make me feel sick or a few (Void Ark- Dun Scaith) which I dislike with a passion. I like the Ivalice raids but I often do not have enough time for things like Orbonne. That is totally my right and how the game was designed. And other raids totally get filled if you bother queuing at normal hours. In any event, all this is kind of moot as I rarely queue for roulette and tend to chose specific raids...maybe you should do the same if you don't like where roulette could lead you. If you queue you will force the roulette to lead you where you want. The bonus is a joke at lvl 90.

Yes people do but do you check your party list cause 9 times out of 10 there will be a 50 level in the party. This argument about ilv cheese is nothing new and really to fix it SE needs to adjust the xp rewarded based on the time the duty takes like they do for Main Story.

Relative to unlocking all the raids that depends on whether or not it's worth it especially on alts. It's not required to unlock them all for Alliance although now different raid tiers are needed so the motivation is there for things like relic, Taratu and other quest lines. I've personally even unlocked the Delta/Sigma/Alpha raids for that reason for which there was absolutely no motivation for me to do so before. I have raid roulette unlocked but rarely run it.

Interesting... players complaining that roulettes aren't 'engaging' or 'fun' when the fact is, most players are only running the for the rewards and want to get through as quickly as possible. I'd guess a huge portion of roulette players don't care how engaging or fun, it's pretty much just a grind for rewards anyway.

IMO, I think all the new jobs should begin at level 1... and have to level them up to learn what their skills actually do at particular levels. Starting a job off at level 60 or 70, handing players a ton of skills all at one time with no process of actually learning what the skills do by acquiring them through leveling- like regular jobs- I think is part of the problem when high level players get sync'd to lower levels and lose part of their skills.

The only roulette I find to have excessive amounts of lower leveled content is alliance raid roulette. And that is due to three reasons:

1. People only need to unlock the CT raids to have access to it;
2. People refuse to unlock the others thinking they are hard(they aren't, people just need to pay attention rather than "Netflix and XIV");
3. People ilvl cheese because the rewards are so unbalanced the whole roulette needs a major overhaul so that the higher the leveled content, the more rewards you get(gives more incentive to actually queue fully equipped, and unlock those other raids that require paying more attention).

That's not what the ilvl cheese is. You're referring to someone eligible for multiple raids intentionally lowering their ilvl so they only get certain ones. The poster you're responding to mentions nothing about lowering their ilvl; they simply don't do the completely optional questlines for other raid series on their alts, meaning only certain ones (CT) are unlocked and thus available to them. The end result is the same, but one approach involves someone intentionally lowering their gear, the other is you blaming someone for not doing optional questlines just to unlock other raids before joining the roulette.

I'm still in favor of the CT raids being thrown into MSQ roulette. If it's required for MSQ it should be there. I don't care if the other raids are harder/take longer (and 0 alliance raids are hard), don't do the roulette if you don't have time for things you might get. Ever since Ivalice got added to the Moogle Tomestone event I've actually enjoyed doing alliance raids daily. I would also be in favor of them eventually updating CT when they're done with the old dungeons so new players actually get a cool raid experience at 50 and it isn't Netflix roulette for veterans.

This is odd, i rarely seem to get any heavensward dungeons. Lots of ARR dungeons, good mix of later dungeons. I like the HW dungeons, and wish i could get them more. Only Sohm Al hard shows up regularly for whatever reason.

The Alliance raids are basically the Crystal Palace roulette, and thats sad becauae CP is god awful compared to later raids. The main story roulette is the Waitatorium, and you earn all 350 tomes.
