Qiqirns I could see as competing npcs at a gambling table, but I still think Mammets are ideal for the dealers.

Speaking of FF7, How about an opera house.

Have seats for people to watch
Have players able to enter to be "cast" in the roles.
Allow the players cast in the roles to choose some lines, and then let the audience vote on some other lines.
Would also give the writes and music department some interesting snf fun little stories to write, without always having to be serious to the lore. Or make new lore by adding "folk" stories to the House.

Not sure how often or feasable adding content like this could be. But it would definatly be a different way to add lore and stories to the game.

I'm a gamblin' Lala. The idea of "The Gold Saucer" (name tbd) or something similar in ARR really appeals to me!

I realize this won't be at the 2.0 launch but it will be something to look forward to. I hope this casino type place won't be taken lightly and just have a couple of mini-games but have an entire patch dedicated to it. I wouldn't mind paying for such an expansion.

I see the place having games that are divided up with two types of rewards.. or loss :0

1. Gambling games - Type of game you could play with peers and bet gil on.

2. Arcade/mini-games - Type of game you could play by yourself and receive tickets or some type of voucher. Then you could redeem these tickets at a kiosk for prizes such as a Dratini, err.. piece of furniture for your house, gear, pet, etc.. You get the idea.

As far as location, I imagine it to be in the sky like in FF VII.
OH, also with lots and lots of LIGHTS <-- lights :D

What types of gambling games would you like to see?

--I believe the most popular idea that i have seen tossed around is Chocobo racing. Players could purchase tickets betting on which chocobo they think will win. Basically like going to a horse race.

Or instead of randomly generated wins from the races, maybe players could race their chocobo they have raised?
