More information please

I severely hope the next 1.17 patch is something big. They're releasing a statement about Auto-attack this week and some stuff that was answered in Players Poll: The Second should start surfacing in updates now, as well of course, as Grand Companies of Eorzea..

I really do think the next few updates are gonna be substantial and pretty pivotal in shifting the balance of the game into something great...

Let's just hope the delays haven't make them miniscule and insufferable, ala 1.15b

I hope the developers write a huge article explaining this company business to us. I am soooooooooooo anxious to get some info regarding it. :)

I am also Really excited to know what companies are about. I've been excited for so long now, I can't wait until mid( or late) April!

I refuse to look forward to anything. I've had my hopes dashed too many times so far. I'll keep a wary eye and judge it once I get my cheeto-stained fingers on it

MY expectations for Grand Companys are pretty low, they are npc runned at least that is what I gathered from the letters. So all the cool ideas I had about the things SE could do with player runned ones are pretty much out the window for now.

So I expect community based events such as besieged and Campaign like events where you join the company get a pearl and glows when you are needed. You show up kill some mobs, get some sp and gil and it ends.

Honestly that is all I expect from them, nothing else.

I all honesty I expect a lot of people to quit after the release of them due to massive overhype and them being nothing real special at all. Lets see if Yoshi and the rest of devs prove me wrong... I sure hope they do. I wish they would just release what the crap they are already... postponing the info to not ruin the surprise will only make people rage more when it is not the most innovative awesome thing a mmo has ever seen.

I have no idea what to expect. I'm pretty excited though.
Will it be something specific to combat or all the DoH and DoL also involved?

A ls member of the shell I'm in hit it right I think, it's gonna be a good concept, the design will be solid.. but the end fights are just gonna be like.. A sheep, or a Puk.. There's a theme going with end-leve/behest mobs being weaker than the stuff you fight normally..

I dearly hope this isn't the case as I think FFXIV has its entire future riding on this next bit of content.

I don't know how they really could blow our minds with content that a) is overshadowed by the core game feature rehauls that take most of the dev team's time and b) needs to work with a pseudo-combat system that is a bastard child of the old and new concepts.

If it's mildly interesting and somewhat entertaining, that's good enough. The rehauls of existing features have a lot more weight at the end of the day.

We need more linkshell controls right now, or something to let current linkshells that they sucks. On my sever theres two linkshells and lot of people don't want to be in either one of them since they're kinda of elitist now, in a game where there's nothing worth being elitist about, and I'm not on a dead server I'm on selbina lol.
