if WHM and AST are with poor performing tanks, I assure you they will fare no better than SCH.

AST probably has to use Essential Dignity(only has maximum of 1 charge below 78) after the first Gravity. Then AST has no other powerful single target heals except for GCD heals combining with Synastry . Celestial Opposition and Collective Unconscious only help so little on tanks that don't know what they're doing. Based on your description, that tank cannot even survive until Early Star finished charging.

WHM indeed has more options, and maybe can get away with it more easily than SCH and AST. Asylum, Divine Benison, Tetragrammaton, Lilies, and even Benediction. Though with a tank that bad, I assume WHM cannot generate Lilies fast enough and eventually have to spam Cure II.

I think we have to blame the right person. You're a healer, not a savior. You can save players who make mistakes, but don't bother saving suicidal ones. The problem is the tank, not scholar.

Your SCH is Lv.60 so the tools available to it are less than other healers at that point. All you have is Whispering Dawn, Lustrate, Sacred Soil, and Adlo+Physick. Indomitability and Succor for AoE. Maybe Dissipate for Aetherflow stacks and heal buff. Later on at Lv.70 and Lv.80, you will get abilities like Excogitation, Sacred Soil will have a heal-over-time effect, Seraph healing/shields, Fey Union tether healing, etc. For roulette type of content, the amount of Physick/Adlo you have to use is very rare, even with wall-to-wall pulls.

Name a dungeon level 45+, I will run it with SCH, record it and send you the link so that you will see how little GCD healing is needed. So little that it would be better if they are turned into oGCDs. I will use Duty Finder to queue for the dungeon.

I guess you're right about Astrologian, since I didn't actually level it up, but White Mage has an additional advantage in the form of 7 whole seconds of Holy stun that very significantly decreases incoming damage and has allowed to get by with some effort even against paper tanks. Though it also depends on whenever the DPS are doing their jobs (which they usually do, with very few exceptions I saw so far).

I guess that could be part of the issue I've had, yes. From what I've seen, a good amount of jobs in this game have some pre-designed level ranges where they're just weaker than the others. Like Dark Knight pre-70.

One thing you may have trouble reproducing is that I was also somewhat undergeared, since I was running content at my own level and getting my equipment from the dungeons (with exception of getting Augmented Ironworks at level 50).

I would, though, like to see how little GCD healing you could get away with while running Snowcloak or Dusk Vigil, just for curiosity's sake. Some of the mobs there hit *very* hard.

Dusk Vigil with three people from duty finder. I used Aldo three times during combat and I told the tank to pull. Succor and Physick were not used at all. And in this dungeon, I don't have Fey Union, Seraph, Dissipation, Excognigation, Recitation.

Pretty much this. If a tank is doing their job right, Adlo is mostly used between trash pulls to give them a buffer to allow you to dps more while your fairy figures out it's time to start healing.

That's pretty good (o/). Especially considering the repeated failure to escape Whirling Gaol/Winds of Winter by the DPS at the last boss. I'm surprised none of them have died despite all those vulnerability stacks!

I guess that video also shows the main reasons why I like Scholar in dungeons, despite all the Holy stun advantages of the White Mage - it is very mobile and can easily adapt its healing to the situation at hand, as long as it doesn't run out of Aetherflow/fairy skills.

Maybe they hate the 2 jobs per class thing ACN has going and are sabotaging SCH so fewer and fewer people play it and they can remove it entirely with no backlash.

They certainly have done that to job actions and features in the past.

Don’t call it removing……. Call it balancing the healers or we don’t know what too do with scholar or just play sage lol. I mean it’s nothing new that they don’t know what too do with healer at all. It’s the same for almost 6 years now and it this point I think it will be until the end of the game but there is one good think, I can tell my kids too not touch healer in this game if I ever get any……..

Oooh, can you do Bardam’s Mettle? Or Shisui of the Violet Tides? Specifically want to see how you do the triple pull with the archers.

People explaining what to do is one thing, but watching it is so much more helpful.
