Ignoring the entire thread but posting this one tidbit. By making a thread about Asmongold you're still bringing attention to him regardless of intention. I take a much simpler approach.

He streams? Good for him. None of my business otherwise.

So sick of these lame posts. His toxic moonies have overrun the forums. yet more WoW refugees ruining FFXIV.

Don't worry OP I honestly can't see Asmongold sticking around in the long run, he's having fun now but so is everyone who starts for the first time, the cracks will eventually show though and he will criticise the things he doesn't like about the game and I fully expect that to start WW3.

IMO his sticking around is going to boil down to whether or not he likes the endgame and how we do our raids, and if there's a way for him to flex. I also don't see how his mount offs would work in FFXIV because of how we generally don't allow mounts in an instanced area and it's got to be in the open world.

The guy is a cult leader; his followers are acolytes. His arrival here should be seen as nothing more significant than a bunch of fanatics hauling into port for a few days. They'll soon tire themselves out and drift off somewhere else.
