Seeing hate toward "refugees from other MMOs?"

dont judge the people in game, any game, not just FFxiv, by the people in its forums

if someone is judging you by what other games you have played in game, report them. there is no call for that. it will typically be dealt with.

welcome to FFxiv by the way. I have played a lot of different mmo's, WoW included, and have never seen any hate towards me. treat people as you want to be treated and all is generally good.

No, this is not a real thing.

More players is a good thing. Keeps the lights on and I have way more fun with people that make mistakes than someone who's run a dungeon x^3 times anyway.

That being said, I find WoW's add-on system unbelievably bad game design and I hope we'll never get anything like that. That's just an arm's race that never ends.

Other than that I'm happy about the influx of new players. More the merrier.

Why would it be toxic to ignore someone? People are not making any sense with calling everything toxic, same thing with referring to gcbtw.

I could care less if you came from a different mmo. I just call anyone that tries to faceroll something and ignore all mechanics then dies and says the fight needs nerfed a WoW scrub.

A lot of old content can be steamrolled yes, but I've seen too many attempts to ignore stuff that results in enough wipes to go through value packs of toilet paper in more current content.

More players is good. But bringing up that you used to play WoW has nothing to do with FFXIV. Its like playing Call of Duty and you bring up that you used to play battlefield. It doesnt matter.

Just come in as a new player. Dont come in openly comparing everything to WoW and bringing it up in chat. It gets very annoying.

Sometimes you know they are a WoW refugee if they use provoke to pull.

This why I did not respond to him and put him on ignore. Like in all my years of playing MMO's (Rift, Star Wars, WoW, Guild Wars, and here in FFXIV) I have never been called toxic for putting someone on ignore. Like this is a first. but I also have experience spotting trolls from afar. His first was attacking Naaura just for asking about parsing, then when he responded to my post to her and blatantly said I would not even "Argue" about it, then lastly called me toxic cause I put him on ignore. Sorry but he is a troll if ever saw one.

I love a mature conversation. I really do. But I won't argue with trolls. I did enough of that in WoW and on Mmo-champion. It is literally exhausting. I don't think I am breaking any rules by saying all I want is to relax and enjoy FFXIV. Like no toxicness and craziness. I just want to make friends and chill and enjoy this game to it's fullest.

No one called out Titanmen (in the first three pages at least). That's a shocker...
