Rokien's new thread on Hamlet Defense

Will there be more Garlean Invasion events? Those were kind of fun. I thought Hamlet defence would be like that, but more involving. What happened?

I can't believe it took them so long to just make an instaced Grand Company Guildleve mod.

I said alot more than "it was a year ago". If I remember correctly I said enough to warrant 20,000 views, 700+ responses, several hundred likes and developer attention. I do agree, unfortunately SE is trying to guide this game to the a purely instanced content grinder. I have made it apparent that we as a playerbase want more than just instances. The Rep's said they the dev team will be looking at what I posted, so who knows? Maybe we might see more than just an instanced piece of garbage.

Well, They never said that the Instance itself can't hold more than 1 party.. all they said is " Get into a party of 8 to enter the Instance"

Even still, weather it is or isn't this content is going to be fun :D

Oh look, something being blown out of proportion again by Rokein.

That said though, he's partially right. This is kinda shitty and a huge letdown. Was hoping to just be able to walk in like campaign and join a random party for this for seals/whatever. If it changes in 2.0 to being open world then cool, if it stays instanced, I'll probably eventually grow tired of it.

But they didn't make XI-2. They made XIV, it only failed because it was released too early.

And on what grounds would XI-2 have been a "successful game" other than in your own baseless personal opinion?

The current XI can't even be the old XI anymore. Why would a new old XI be successful?

FFXI was a success manly because they didn't take ideas from the players.. it was their own created game...

FFXIV Forums come along.. People Opinions becomes the games reality.. and not what they want to create.. if you wanna know who is destroying the game ( for those that think the game is going down the tubes anyways) is the player base on the forums.

That's just me though, I just feel like its the players game not SE's game.. :/.
