Just copy the Transmog collector system from WoW. Glamour needs a serious update!!!

FWIW, you can put an item in the glamour dresser, set up a glamour plate, then remove the item from the dresser. The glamour plate will still remain. I've done this to use a piece of current gear in a glamour; my alt is wearing the Exarchic fending set, and though I have changed the glamour on the boots and gloves, the coat and pants are using their own appearance. But I didn't want to look to break when replacing things, so the coat and pants were thrown into the dresser, used to make the plate, then taken out and equipped again.

The one downside is that you have this weird situation where the item shows as glamoured into itself, but that's fairly minor.

The other downside is this can eat up a large number of glamour prisms if you do it long enough (based on how frequently you swap glamours of course).

No more (and almost certainly less) than you'd spend on dispellers to remove a different glamour from it every time you wanted the original appearance back. Doubly so if you want it dyed.

I'm not sure what WoW's glamor system and trans moogles have to do with each other.

Either way if they can't implement a proper log because reasons, then they could at least use their achievement system to make us present the items to someone, maybe a quest to get an achievement containing a coffer of the same items, which then can be purchased by the calamity salvager.

This would have been especially welcome for Alliance raids and other content where there is no guaranteed that a piece of loot will drop.

Can we please not credit WoW for convenient fashion management, when Guild Wars 2 has been doing it even better since 2014? Just saying.

Would you be okay if the glamour dresser worked the same way? That would mean losing it as storage for items you might want to equip later, perhaps because you're leveling a new job in the same role.

Personally, I'd be fine with just the appearance getting stored (most items are easy enough to obtain again if needed) but I'm not certain the general player base would agree.

On the other hand, do we need to keep physical copies of lvl 0-30 items if everything you have is above 30? These low-level physical items likely cause bloat, many cross-job/global outfits are level 0 with no stats.
