that's ok. i'll continue using it the way i see fit until se makes the change. since they haven't changed it in over a year i see it as working as intended.

well the thing is say you want to buy a felt coif of casting hq, but there's 20 nq coifs in the wards for sale. the hq will not be in the list because, of course, the hq sells for more than the nq's. you search for them and then have to individually go through the wards looking for a hq coif that was up for sale, but not one of the 20 cheapest in the wards.
that does get annoying that they don't have tabs in the search for materia and hq only options.
Would you really check random peoples' bazaars even if they were used properly? I mean, that's a whole lot of chance involved that it would be something you want. Out of 40 people on your screen, all 40 might be selling lv15(ish) gear for a fair price that you don't want or need. Or even stacks of Rock Salt, or something. Just as a blunt example. . . . You can't know, since bazaar icons are the same no matter the predominant item category.
I can honestly say I wouldn't bother even in the case of a perfect bazaar scenario. Too much random. Usefulness debatable, except when people sell food/potions/raid drops in obvious places (raid access points).
And then you have cheap a$$ people like me who see you selling X potion for what I think is a good price but wait, where do I go? Oh yeah, the wards again. Maybe, I forgot about this potion. Maybe I wanna see if Nuinn's bazaar is OP or a good price. :p The debate could go for years, decades even; and while the OP has a point, it's one they will just have to rage over until a "perfect" system is created.
why.. because i have better things to do with my time than check random people in the 1 in a 3000+ chance i find someone with something i actually might want, cant make(which is nothing), cant farm(which is nothing), or cant buy on the retainer system which i would find so much quicker if it was actually of any value at all.
again the whole bazzar system sucks donkey balls because unlike ffxi there is no set place people bazzar... i dont wana stand in uldah waiting for people to pop in such a laggy place in again hope i find sumin or god forbid grid or LL.... plus like i said the whole system require to many click and is to slow overall for me to want to do it
Time Vrs Effort Vrs Reward
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
this above makes me NOT use the bazzar system for buying anything what so ever or even warrent me using it at all.
And by the time you come back from checking the average price in wards I teleport out to Mor Dhona and then you /t me saying you wanna buy and I'm like "Oh hell no, you come over here I'm not wasting anima again!" and you're like "Oh hell no to YOU, you're not worth my gils!" and then we blacklist each other :p Actually it kinda sound like fun xD
Anyhow, even if the perfect system was created I'd say at least 50% of the player population would use it in a way that would tick off people - as in, not "perfectly". Bit sad knowing some people will always be frustrated about this :( The point is valid, and it would really be nice if bazaars in general worked better, but if this "problem" is always going to be present (as I think it is) and it ruins a part of their enjoyment in the game, then it really is bit sad, without any sarcasm.
As a person who has 3 mules and still uses his bazaar for inventory space all i have to say is:
1. Its MY bazaar, in MY account that i pay for with MY credit card, so who are YOU to tell me how should i use MY inventory space?
2. Deal with it.
and 3:

LOL but but I onry have 3 Anima. :( /grovel<---worse emote evar btw. -.-
It is true it's sad. I know at release it f**king pi$$ed me off to no end but I dealt with it and now we have a valid and improving search feature. Why it wasn't there at launch *shurg* no idea.
