elezens are ugly will 6.0 fix them?

sometimes i wonder if i'm playing the same game as those people claiming that elezens are ugly...

I do miss the run animation Elvaan had, with their proportions it kinda looked like wood elf werewolves vibes running through the forests of Ronfaure (at like 1mph XD). They went for baby faced elves for XIV and I think the proportions should have been adjusted a bit more to accommodate that direction.

Elezen's necks are a little too long, but they certainly aren't ugly. The Archer Guild's leader is my favorite Elezen NPC waifu. :3

Why should they change an existing race that people already play? not a LOT of people, but enough that if they change the existing faces it's going to hurt feelings. yes I know i am biased as someone who plays an elezen, but still, i'd be genuinely upset if my character's looks were changed. what they SHOULD do is add more options for elezen so that more people might be interested.

Oh yea 100%, definitely.

the problem with elezen is this:

a) their animations are very stiff and awkward. other tall races such as au ra and roegadyn have pretty fluid animations.

b) their necks are too long and makes them look goofy in armor sets/helmets.

c) their heads are of disproportionate size compared to the rest of their bodies. their shoulders are really really wide which further accentuates this fact

if they addressed these 3 things i think elezen would look way better

i like be able to snack on my leaves without a ladder thank you very much...

But seriously FF version of the elf has always looked this when they introduced the Elvaan. I mean if you watch some of the clips of Garlanean like Nero and Lucia put hyurs on him and catch them from angles they ahve the infamous elezen neck on them and just as gangley. If anythign I would rather the races have different weapon stances to or more options to the races for varied customization give some variety. that's just me.

Yea the different stances and different Weaponskill Animations in XI gave the XI races a lot of character. Hell I rolled a Elvaan despite wanting to be a Galka because the animations won me over (was also the only player character option that had cloth physics on spell casting lmao. I wonder if they patched that to the other races and genders).

I definitely wouldn't mind the time it would take to undertake such a thing, but I think something they could do near term is unlocking the weapon draw combat ready pose across both genders. That way, Players can assign the one they think fits their character best.

It seems, that it is not very easy for them to give more options. Because it can happen, that they have to create a new version of every item in the game. This is the reason why i do not believe, that there will be an Elezen version with shorter necks, not so broath shoulders etc. Because the existing items would not fit anymore. Every new race is an extra work for them.
