That's just what the GCD is really.

Interpretations from FFXI take precedence over the original game? What a filthy casual. And the dungeons weren't open world in ff1 so those aren't in a real final fantasy.
And atb wasn't in ff1 either so that's out because that wasn't in a real final fantasy.
Oh and only 6 classes. Any more and it's not a real final fantasy.
This is so fun.
Shitty here shitty there. All I see is bitching from you in this thread. I do not read any real constructive criticism from all your comments. What do you think about opening a thread to give constructive criticism on this matter? Final Fantasy 14 is not FF11, Dark Age of Camelot or a single player game. Instead of writing shitty all the time and everywhere, ask SQ or Yoshi-P why they don't do it the way YOU want
They should turn Thief into a new (limited) gathering job.
Nodes are NPCs found in towns and villages. Steal as many trinkets as possible before the NPC becomes wary, and then use them in either crafting or to be fenced on the black market. Perhaps acquire some nostalgia/glamour items this way that reference earlier games in the series. Steal clothes that can then be used as disguises to infiltrate to places that you're not supposed to go, like Locke's scenario South Figaro in FF6.
If anyone asks why the WoL is involved with thievery, just patiently explain to them that you're a treasure hunter.

YES! I knew I was forgetting something to add.

The proper name is burglar. ;)
Question, what does a Thief do differently than a Ninja or Rogue? As I see it, your 1-30 class is the Theif, only thieving for the greater good so Rogue. Once you become a Ninja, you gain melee magic, which is cool. But you can still RP as a thief if you want to. Heck, my Ninja look is based on the Gambler set you get with MGP.
