Redo catch % for old "big fish."

Better gear, maybe not. But, consider the skill gap. On release, ARR FSH skills limited to Cast, Hook, and Mooch.

There are so many tools in our kit now, to say nothing of actually mechanical changes, that most fish genuinely are much easier to catch. Surface Slap alone is an absolute game changer.

I'd agree that the rates on the old fish don't need to be buffed because they already made them easier to catch indirectly via the new skills that were introduced.

Everyone complains that battle content gets nerfed and is too easy, so why also wanting to nerf gatherer content?
When you do big fishing because you want to do big fishing, isn't it good that you have more to do? When you want to do big fishing because you hate big fishing and just think you have to do it because of the fishing log, isn't it better to just not do big fishing if you hate it?

Same reason because so many jobs got reworked. People who don't like the gameplay are complaining, it gets changed and the people who complained drop the reworked gameplay after like two weeks, leaving the people who liked the old version in the dust and nobody is happy now.

Leave the Fisher alone please. Play Botanist or Miner if you want fun gameplay without RNG. Oh it is not fun? Well what do you expect Fisher will turn into when you remove the RNG?
