Oh, I fully agree that DPS balance is the worst it has been in a long time. Or rather as you point it out, the worst that we can measure, now that we have fflogs based on rDPS and not pDPS anymore and have the tools to actually see what really is on the table when talking trick attack, littany, brotherhood, devotion... And now that we can compare curves taking a lot more into account than before, we see them as spread appart as sometimes 1k5 (10%) and see that there is a real huge issue on DPS balance, akin to what tank suffered through SB.
At least the outcry is on the same level ; as it should be when a class can be 10% behind another there is something wrong in an MMO where optimization is often a matter of 1 or 2 % (and in a game with less slots than choices available, optimization = viability, at least "PFwise" talking).
I also agree the longer they wait, the stronger the label "underwhelming" sticks to some less lucky classes. My fear being people in PF not updating their view.
We don't know what is their take on this because as you say they won't tell us, I don't know which data they use but the ones the player use clearly state a lack of balance, yet they managed a fairly good job on tanks this time... I don't know, I think it's time they acknowledge they need to set test servers and betas to get help from hardcore raiders on these matters. Almost everytime something was feared real bad design in preview / media tours, in turned out as shit as it was expected, so hardcore guys and mentors kinda are often on point. Let them have at it instead of "fuck it let's do that" and have feels bad for 4 months for hundreds of players.
