I'm in the USA and I don't even like it. Except for the French. They kick all our butts in culinary skills and should not participate by default. (I kid!)

To the Quebecers: know your province and do some research before blindly complaining, you make us look like retards.

Thank you,

Unless the total prize value is less than $2,000, you are required to register your contest with the Regie.
Either I'm reading that wrong or SE shouldn't have anything to worry about.Quote:
Further, the province’s Lotteries Act allows the Regie to require you to post security for contests open to Quebec residents where you do not have a place of business in Quebec, the value of any single prize exceeds $5,000 or the total prize value exceeds $20,000.
Ahem,

Would you manage that ? Sending long french paperwork to Régie at leats 10 days before the contest and pay taxes on value price ?Quote:
This provides security for the prizes until they have been awarded or until the Regie has been notified there are no winners in Quebec. Also, the rules and any advertising relating to the contest must be filed at least 10 days before the start of the contest, and should be filed in French unless the contest will be carried only in English media.
Franchisors should also be aware of the Regie’s imposition of a tax of 3% on the total prize value for national contests or 10% of the value of prizes allocated to Quebec residents, and there are penalties for late payments and late filings.
In before Rep post stating we will be setting up additional contests for players in other regions.
Except Quebec, Because seriously sending in long form paperwork for every contest we do regardless of prize worth or worthlessness and being mired in all kinds of regulations when all we want to do is goof around and give out some bandana's is beyond mind boggling and its a can of bee's that we don't want to get any where close to opening.
