All three healers are a hot mess in concern towards balancing and I strongly believe that they don't know how to "fix" them yet and won't make a new healer until they can figure out how to make them all unique without one overpowering and eclipsing the other in terms of shields, HoTs, and utility.
I think there's still an opening for a healer. When they showed Gaia and her hammer they seemed to keep overly stressing the word role when referencing her and her hammer. I could be wrong, but.. here's to hoping.
it's unfair, it's so damm unfair for healers, really yoshi why you allowed that?
I can only hope the existing healers got a significant rework, then. Enough to make WHM and AST significantly different, enough to justify not having a new healer for two expansions.
Dancer might have been cool as a healer, but only FFXI had dancers are healers. In all the other games there were buffers. Based on FFXIV system i think their placement works.
dancer fate dosen't matter, it's the lack of healer independent of whatever job you bring to his ranks, and thats a clear bad move for then.
Tell that to the vocal people pushing that WHM is worthless because of no utility and their kit being around power healing when nothing requires said healing and their spells mainly eat a GCD that SCH and AST cover with oGCDs.
Personally, I'm not complaining about WHM - I like being able to power through anything and everything when people make mistakes and die and I can pick up the slack. That is how I define WHM - the true savior against human error.
