I know different games, but Still SE. Ninja in XI was released as a DPS, and once the playerbase made it a tank, SE followed suit. Direction changes.
If people don't complain, SE won't know there is a problem. Most fixes happen because of feedback. Sometimes feedback comes in opinions/demands, which Can still be constructive.
They could very easily impose a level restriction on spells. 1k needles would be level 45, Primal spells, level 50. Overall Blu potancies are lower than most other jobs.
They really should give a valid reason why the job needs to remain limited other than "we goofed" because honestly, that's what we are seeing.
If they continue adding limited jobs, which is not confirmed for anything other than Blu, the player-base will eventually revolt. When it comes down to it, our opinions DO matter, because we are the consumer. And while the policy of "the customer is always right" isn't actually true, the policy of Make the customer happy, or they will stop paying, is a wise one to follow.
If you enjoy Blu as a limited Job, great for you, but i don't feel that's the majority opinion. What is the point of adding jobs they you can't play the full game with. Side content. And as jobs are the main focus of the game, it literally makes no sense to make one side content. That's why people class it with Gold saucer, its a party trick, with red tape as spells based on the RNG.
They should have just followed the XI model for Blu. It would have worked fine. Yes DF would be a little more tedious, as you would need to set your spells for each one, but that's something i could deal with. And overall i don't think i'm alone in this thought. -

Well thing is Japan also are commenting about blu and yet Yoshida still not acknowledging. I wonder if the moderator on here or whoever keeps track on the forums having a vacation because seems like to him everything going as planned. Unless he planned to let Blu die off and think that adding 120+ spells will fix it lol.

Really Yoshida as said to even let Blue into PVP he would have to delete Level 5 Death.. then he said nope keeping it pure Blue mage .. meaning whatever happening now will continue in 5.1 yes Blue mages are not to be level up until after 5.0. Making Blue Mages Limited was the Right Choice. Really He has no idea what he as done and to busy to do anything about it. So whatever the Future holds on Blue Mage I hope it's good but I'm staying at level 50 until something is done. because it'll be the same no matter what (welcome to level 60 .. you can collect spells that are in Level 60 Dungeons and use the Mask Carnival .. You may not PVP or go to POTD). this from the beginning was Purist Vs. Nonepure Blue Mages players.

They need to rework learning skills. You shouldn't have to run same thing over and over to learn a skill. Doesn't work here you run ones over and over till they learn skill but when it's your turn they run it few times then disband the party and you get left out. Whole learning process needs reworked. They need to also boost there skills so they can soloing anything. Since it is a limited job and can't use duty finder. You shouldn't have to rely on a lvl 70 to learn higher level skills.

Truth is, we could have done with a gameplay session in the Paris Fan Fest, we really could have done that. I was slightly annoyed when I read that interview where Yoshi P says NA and JP players are more raid oriented so it's better to have gameplay sessions there whereas Europe is more arts / glamour. This resulted in the Paris Q&A being a disaster of uninteresting chit chat like "I want Yotsuyu's outfit" when all questions about Blue Mage have been purely ruled out of the Q&A.
So if they dodge it again in Tokyo, this is no good, as I understand Japan players have similar concerns.
