Who were you in FFXI?

Minako from Garuda. I bought the game as soon as it came out on the PC back in October of 2003(?) my how the years have flown o.o; I was just in high school by then.
I think I became Minakochan on Lakshimi cause the name Minako was taken there.

I was pretty much all over. I quit before the Seraph > Bismark merge so that's where my XI character's final resting place is.

The one and only Wobi, first on Garuda for many years. Took a break for a few months due to RL issues and managed to get back on to say goodbye to Garuda on it's final night and woke up in Lakshmi the next day. Played into the first Abyssea expansion and quit about a couple months before Public Beta for 14 came out.

I was Gregrowe from Phoenix server. Started at 360 release, got banned in 09.

I was Lynex from the Titan server. I was 75 whm and dragoon. I had a 60 bkm but since I was elvaan I wasn't that good but it was my favorite job but of course whm was what I always had to play :( I had a RL linkshell so it was a lot of fun. We broke up when the new game came out I'm the only one playing the new game now some of the others are waiting for more content and a few are still playing ffIX and will continue to play untill the end of time or it goes off line lol.

lol I'm cracking up seeing so many people from Ifrit posting on here. It's funny, go to any FFXI forum and look around on any fan-site and the sections for Ifrit, the LS's made and everything are all quiet and sort of secretive. Come over here to FFXIV and people from Ifrit come out of the woodwork. :D

I'm obviously Arithana from Ifrit (Mithra there) however I was originally Darlithia from Ifrit (Tarutaru) and remade both characters here to look the same. 4 (?) years later, I just decided to take a break from XI and give this a shot with my new laptop and I love it.

After the introduction of Abyssea I got all the main jobs I wanted to 90 and started working on the +1 then +2 gear then realized that's all I was doing. I wanted something new and different. XIV may not be perfect yet, but being able to get on and go out by myself and successfully level at a fairly decent rate, to have that satisfaction of crafting gear at a low level and being able to equip it without having to gather an 18 man group to get it, that's pretty sweet.

XI will always hold a special place but maybe XIV can too. By the way, I know this is a Trabia forum and I'm on Istory but I do know that quite a few LS's, included one I was in, migrated their entire groups over to this server. It's sad that Ifrit is going to become Odin soon, makes me happy I kept my character names on here. :D

Arithana pretty much all of CKD and everyone who hung out on the yarrthepirate.com forums is playing on ifrit thats why. We picked Trabia when they first announced the server names. We posted it on the forums for anyone interested.

I was Zhango on Kujata server before the merge (Kujata was merged into Valefor, right?). I think I only played for the first 6 mos. to a year after the North American release of the game though. I gave my character and account over to a friend who kept it alive for a while, but not sure exactly how long.

Mostly played RDM when I did play. Can't remember what I typically had for subjobs, WHM and BLM for certain--but I left before the really cool Corsair, Dancer, and Blue Mages got introduced.

I have fond memories of XI from the time I did spend playing the game.
