Potential Inventory OVERLOAD Incoming? Job Specific Equipment (JSE) and More Primals

How the hell do you utilize your alts inventory room without a mail service?

Two ways.
1. Trade to a friend then relog then trade back.
2. Dual Box.
Both methods are a royal pain.

Completely different gear setups for EVERY SINGLE CLASS plus jewelry is only 160 slots....
NPC all the little crap you know you dont need

So do any of the people against having more inventory space acknowledge materia being an issue?

as you well know those that craft, gather, and battle have alts because as it is now there's very limited space. at the moment it could be done, but with jse, more primals, more materia, holiday events, and more classes coming in the future it will be impossible to play the game as all classes on one character as the game intends.

right now it is not such a horrible thing, but with the addition of gear for each job needing multiple sets of gear will get quite taxing. remember "jobs are for party and classes are for solo" you always laugh about. that will turn into one set of gear for con and another for whm. multiply those out over each class and you have a ton of gear itself and then add in the new classes they will be adding and inventory, even with the amount of space we have now, isn't enough.

something needs to be done. i'm not going to say one way of handling it is better than the other, but in the long run something will have to be done. the easiest and most efficient way, in my opinion, would be making gear its own tab, materia it's own tab, and materials its own tab. materia should even be a single stat per tier so it can be stacked and treat it like crystals. i'm not saying my own suggestion is better than anyone else, but doing something in general is really the only way i can see it working in the long run.

That actually is true... If jobs have a completely different set of gear than classes, and you will have to keep both, then yes... Inventory becomes an issue.... Also Moogle, Ifrit and Garuda weapons all being on the same level makes it worse....
But for right now... people just need to NPC their soiled Femurs and Wildfowl Feather
And Jobs could add what? 60 items at most?

Remember in FFXI when you had so many jobs and so little space? You can easily make it work in this game, too... plus, you have so much more space now. Just dump all of the stuff you don't regularly use (including supplies for crafts you aren't currently leveling) onto your retainer. Although, an inventory increase would be nice, too...

but that's not the discussion. it is about the long term issues. right now it can be done without problems. the issue is with the inventory going back down and more classes and primals coming along with jobs those will have an issue when it's combined together. at 200 + 150 + 150 now is easy, but once it goes back down to 100 + 80 + 80(if they let us keep the second retainer) then the additional gear and primal weapons will cause major issues.

Yeah I hated it. Why should I have to deal with it in this game too. Already dumped my other craft classes mats into my retainer. It's full now.

Can you dual box an alt on the same account? I thought you needed two different accounts in order for you to be playing both characters at once. which means you pay an extra 10$ instead of an extra 1$ :(
