If it wasn't for the fan translations we wouldn't have known about a lot of minor things Square themselves couldn't be bothered to tell us, though, so it's a mixed bag. I think the hour delay and (possibly, not sure of its exact origin) being able to take items out of the glamour toilet were the only misfires.
Personally I'm in favor of Square spending less money doing things like building ice sculptures and more hiring some translators for their pre-planned info dumps. Also pray that they 1.) actually give individual housing a proper advanced notice and 2.) consider putting an hour delay on that, considering this still didn't go off without a hitch (wife got bounced out of the launcher at 6am and then out of the game entirely after sitting in a 350+ queue).
