Honestly, neither do I.
Us rushing them probably wouldn't do anything. I was more treating the situation as a hypothedical.

So what we're wanting here is for them to release more things incomplete, like the launch of this game? Considering how well that worked the first time surely it will be ok this time right? Right?
As said a couple posts ago, 1.20b won't delay the schedule of 1.21 release.
If anything delays 1.21 it will be 1.21 if that makes sense.
They have different teams working on different projects, in all liklihood the team working on Goobue has less to contribute to 1.21 than the other teams.
They don't just sit there and go, oh, 1.20b is done! We can work on 1.21 now! They probably have been working on parts of 1.21 since last July.
1.20b will probably come sometime this week or early next week, and 1.21 will probably come ~10th of Feb.
Bottom line of all of this is, I don't care when the patch is, Make it polished and take the time you need. The key here is keep us in the loop. Don't let weeks go by without status reports on current progress. Especially as the time grows closer and closer to the expected release window(not date, Window). The longer people go with no information the more speculation there will be,
SE stomp the speculation, give us facts. It's a simple as a "We're right on schedule!" or "We've encountered some issues, and the patch may be delayed for X time." A weekly status report would be nice, I'm sure you have Daily, weekly and monthly steering meetings to ensure they you are hitting your goals, just share the high and low points. High level, no details and commitments.
But there is information you can take from it. Like general status. No ones asking for secrets and internal workings and details.
Hell Put a traffic light on your website for Patch progress status, with an ETA on it. They can change it from Green, to Yellow to Red depending on progress(but had better have an explination for red).
