Edit: I'm actually asking for your opinion, I'm not trying to be snide or give attitude. I spent a while asking myself this question and can't really come up with anything anymore. It seems to me like what's left "broken" is all a matter of opinion now. But that's just my side of it.

I do not say this because *I* feel the game is not complete, (which I do feel the game is not complete)but because *Yoshi* feels the game is not complete.

The decision to charge and bring this game profitable has been argued to death. If you really want to believe this was Yoshi's or Wada's call so, be it. We cannot ignore that the game is being 'relaunched' for the sole purpose of bringing up to commercial standards. If a game is not up to commercial standards according to the company that produced it, it is not a full complete game. Then what is it?

This is the Company's opinion, not my own. Otherwise it wouldn't need a separate beta for 2.0.

It's Beta-esque, and nothing can be said to change that. When they're still testbed'ing features and stats, thats something you do in a beta.

Also, why is it always the people who play the cats always copping an atitude or a holier-than-thou tone at the community?

but...it is a paid beta.

the game might have content and working systems, but the game is not at its 100% completion...
by definition, it is a beta.
The devs are figuring out/working on how the game should be. we the community give feedback about it and then the developers use the feedback to influence their final desitions.

if you'd rather not call it a beta call it a prequel then

But you've got to take it from a new player's perspective; if it was launched today in its current shape, the game definitely would not be called a beta, semantics or not.

Well, imo, we are not playing a version of the 2.0 client therefore you can't call it a 2.0 beta.

Getting ahead of yourself there. You shouldn't call it beta before they even get to use their intended final server structure.

Everything in 1.X is more or less being changed, at 2.0 It seems 90%+ of what was at launch will be gone so is it the same game?

This is easily not a finished game, but yet it is not a beta.

Honestly I would call this a test build for the mechanics being added in 2.0 with some content thrown in to keep us occupied.
