I see more people get carried. Whats your opinion on that?

Most of what I've seen are people harassing the DPS for not being above a a particular number in DPS. Those are the people I report myself.
I don't know what normal DPS numbers are and I suppose they do, but I'm assuming most people in dungeons are trying their best (I've even seen someone say this, that they were trying their best) and it's blatantly cancerous harassment to start verbally abusing them for not doing enough.
I think as long as you're trying your best its fine. I also thinks it's bad if people don't take advice on things.
I don't approve of just standing around doing nothing, I votekick those people.
There's a major difference between not doing anything and trying your best and underperforming in comparison to what is the best your class can do.
So what if, in a PF clear party, one guy is trying his best but is not nearly enough and his DPS is like, 50% the average DPS for his job? The party is hitting enrage constantly.
I that case, what the party should do?
-Keep trying because he is "doing his best" (we both know that is not true, because if he was really doing his best he would be looking for optimal rotations and stuff)
-Kicking him from the party because his DPS is too low and the boss is hitting enrage.
-Tell him his DPS is low and take the risk of being reported for harassment.
doing an optimal rotation while doing mechanics is kinda different than just doing an optimal rotation, but Im 100 percent for parses but with having to keep 4k pluss dps in save thats not all that easy. So know wouldnt kick that person , but hope they would take it upon themsleves to figure out what can be done better
no point on asking for evidence they simply don't have any , they make statements they can't support expecting everyone to take their word for granted, probably happened once and think that's the rule and not the exeption or even worst they hear it from someonelese when I've seen people getting harassed more for many other stuff that has nothing to do with parsers at all. Building on the stigma that wow had and I bet half of the didn't even played the dammed game, like another user said DCUO has dps meters their community seem just fine, FFXIV community is not overwatch nor blizzard it isn't a super trending community full of kids ridign a bandwagon, is a very selective community that doesn't have the amount of toxicity gmes like wow or overwatch had and has. If parser toxicity was a real thing as they like to scream to sky we would already have it. parsers has been a thing since 2.x but again. 4 years of active play and nothing.
I'd tell you I had a famous 3.x Ice mage who was doing less damage than our healer and wasted almost 50 min of our lives while we were getting unsulted and mocked as if we were wrong. We must deleted black mage their kid brings toxicity and it's cancer it happened once on a dungeon, I'm ok for people to roleplay as much as they want but Unfortunately most people use it as cancerous as they possibly can.
4k dps is a top DPS. I said clearly 50% the average. Let's say the average DPS for ninjas is 3k dps in susano extreme and this one guys is doing 1,5k at maximum.
Yeah sure, people can get better, but I really doubt one guy will jump from 1,5 to 3 in a couple of pulls without do some reading or watching some tutorials, so...good luck.
I meant outside the fight, like if u know ur the one holding the group back like reallly really holding them back u should gracefuully withdraw, I think more people than we think can actually take crtitize based on performance. But I think the biggest issue really is the fact that there is no parse in this game, like its a huge issue why im lookin for pcs again myself.
and that's another great point that has been brought up many times on why our community average skill level is so low, most are completely ignorant of their performance and given how dps intensive are our fight most dps could be getting carried and not know. Also you overstimate our generation ability to get offended for nothing and lack of respect for someone to gracefully withdraw themselves.
Gee. Just reading the first couple pages has me a little paranoid. I play the game with no extra bells and whistles whatsoever. With using experience and knowing a run done many times to have the pattern burned into my brain, I could say "we're not doing enough damage" or "dps is kinda low, hurry, boss is about to enrage", just by looking at the hp bar of the boss. I'd really not like to suddenly be pulled aside by a GM with an accusation of using a parser. That's definitely not okay if I'm surrounded by trigger finger reporters.
