You do need to know how to play your job correctly to clear O4S currently, so my argument holds.
You couldn't even come back to my ExDeath DPS+mechanic check which is practically the same as Faust was. That's an artificial wall to the "exclusive" savage fight. The amount of people still stuck on O3S and O4S is pretty large.
This thread is as silly as the one who asked for normal mode of Neo ExDeath.
I don't see any real harm in gating this behind savage. Kinda sucks not getting to just try it with friends for laughs even if we had no hope of clearing but doing it this way makes it feel like a bonus reward for raiders and might help assuage complaints about the few incentives to raid in this game.
I hope if it's a quest unlock it's hidden until you clear Savage though. >.>
*has flashbacks to the Second Coil Savage quest sitting red in Mor Dhona for months upsetting my OCD*
Why are you complaining if you can beat O4S? What a silly thread. It's to gate the casuals from hardcore players into something exclusive which the hardcore rightfully deserve.
I haven't done any of that, but I think it's fine that it's gated. If m you're joining content you can't clear either way you're basically just holding the rest of the people down.
If you have a static, there's also a sense of progression unlocking these things together and that in turn strengthens your bond as a team.
Removing that would be a waste.
Gating super savage sounds fair enough to me, they probably want people to be ready for this.
*puts hand on her head*
this is the same logic in saying lv 60 DFs should not be gated from people lv 59 and lower, it makes no sense, they would not have the gear needed or the abilities or having business even with being in high end lv 60 stuff.
They want to give hardcore something to do, and the gating makes sense because anything less they would not be able do it anyway. Do you even understand how tight some DPS checks can be? I doono how tight O4s is but back in HW the first section people took like 2 months? because you needed be absolutely perfect.
After dozens of failed Susano Ex runs, I guarantee, 175%, no matter how much I adore a fight, it's not fun unless you clear. Ultimately, that's the purpose of this game. If you want to enjoy a stroll through the Aurum Vale, go for it, but you'd still have to kill things, and there's still a timer ticking. I didn't make up the goal of clearing things, the game did. Oh and I hope you went in there alone because unless you're a premade, the other 3 unfortunate souls who queued along with you might have a thing or two to say on the matter.
Also, who's going to enjoy what you're suggesting? The non-raiders who will have the entire party on their case for under-performing and failing mechanics? Or the seven other people whose time is wasted because a single person can wipe the rest of the party in this tier of difficulty? Mind, I don't condone the toxic behavior I've seen from the raiding community in this game. But burying your head in the sand and pretending that's not exactly what's waiting for these hypothetical people whose banner you're curiously championing is asking for a world of disappointment and hurt. And on the flip side, those serious raiders who are here to get content done deserve better than someone who just wants to 'enjoy the content' rather than clear it.
That is literally exactly what I was saying. In roughly the same words, too, lmao, wot?Quote:
If you can't clear HM, you have no business in extreme. Sounds exactly like what you are saying.
That's a strawman argument at best, a complete derailment that makes no sense at worst. No one is "banning" anyone from any content. They are more than welcome to try it out - once they clear the requisitions the game has set for them. Push comes to shove, they'll be able to have a go at it when the next expansion hits and we can unsync it, just like how Yoshi-P himself encouraged more casual players to try the HW end-game content now that it can be unsynced. They just won't get world-first.Quote:
By that logic, we should ban at least 50 percent in this playerbase of not more to never be able to clear Omega savage. Because they obviously will never be able to do it.
You're the one saying they'll never be able to set foot in there if they don't get it right this instant this very moment right now, not me.
If you can't clear O4S, I can't for the life of me figure out why it matters whether or not you can get into Ultimate. I'm still waiting for a good reason as to why this needs to change.
