Pretty sure no one would want to wait til 4.1 to get what we should've gotten in either 4.05/4.06 (whenever the new Feast season started). Imagine there was a huge issue with Shirogane or Return to Ivalice and devs decided it wasn't a priority to deal with until the next big patch. How much of an outrage do you think that'd cause?

Stop treating PvP content like it's some kind of secondhand aspect of the game. It's in, and deserves as much support as anything else. And it's nice to see SE finally making more than token minimum effort.

So how would you improve it? And how have you so few games or real life things that 8 hours bothers you?

Either you're a genius at server networking so you have a job to keep you occupied for those 8 hours, OR, you don't actually have anything meaningful so those 8 hours, you're waiting for a game.

If you like mmo pvp, shouldn't you just play wow instead? It's like ff14, but has good pvp.

If you like WoW so much, why are you here and not playing it and posting in their forums?

Cause I don't. It just had better pvp and a better way of dealing with maintenance is all. Just because i play this doesnt mean I can't go point out things another game does better.

There is nothing wrong with having pvp in this game. It's fun. They don't need to create it to the extent to what wow or other games have but having it isn't a bad thing. I enjoyed it quite a bit working on the outfits and getting one of the mounts. I'm happy they addressed issues for those who pvp a lot. 4.1 will be here soon enough and I still have tons of things to do until then.

I'm well aware of other games that do several things better. I still enjoy this game's PvP regardless. Have you even tried it, or are you just repeating what you've seen others say?

wow is and was nowhere as stable as this game generally is

8 hours maintenance is nothing. It is not only to apply patches. Maintenance is for updating server software, apply patches, fix any problem, claer caches/optimize system, restart game servers, test everyone is correct, check backups, etc. Anyone with computer knowledge knows how server works. It is not a single server, it is not a simple computer, it is a complex infrastructure.

It is not just "apply a patch". It is not a desktop windows system. It is far more complex than that.
