I also want to point that that the slow responses are by no means limited to PvP, either. Players with accounts locked to the European region have been screwed over by both promotional campaigns orchestrated so far. It took months to get a response despite a similarly large thread surrounding that particularly issue and even then the response has yet to be followed up.

It's possible that the hands of the community representatives are tied very tightly, though.

The pvp system did indeed go down the shithole once the new system was implemented. While the system was complex they could've find ways to clear the hotbars without resorting to the stupid decision of dumb it down to 4 buttons. Also, the fact that anyone who has a class at lvl 30 can participate ruins everything even further. We have idiots who just queue into ranked pvp with lvl 30 to 50 characters, characters who don't even have gear in them and they don't have any clue of how to play them (because, and this is probably the biggest problem, 4 buttons is still too difficult for most of players). Today I lost over 10 games in a row and ended up getting demoted because I got teamed 7 times with this dumb lvl 54 healer who had no clue how to play the game. Yet there he was getting matched with diamond players and ruining everything.

Season 1 was actually an enjoyable experience. This season whoever is the worst experience this game has to offer.

And btw, the name of the healer was Yui Hirasawa from Leviathan. I know public shaming is bad and it might get me in trouble but for gods sake, if you are reading this stop queuing into ranked pvp just to lvl up your character, you are terrible and you are ruining the experience for those who actually want to win. You have options like practice 8v8 and Frontlines.
If you have the bad luck of getting this guy in your team be ready for a bad time, there is nothing you can do about it anyway.

who cares about going vs SE policy, if this is a good method to make them stop/train b4 ruining every1 experience, it's all good. Also it seems SE is giving lots of warnings to veteran players than new ppl. Really shit thinking of SE.

It is incredibly infuriating actually trying to get ranking while there are just so many people that queue up without knowing what their class even does. Like I'm sure that Broil spam the SCH is doing is soooooo much more important than healing the DPS who's very badly hurt right next to the healer. If you want to level a new class, do stuff that would actually matter. Like, oh I dunno what's that big thing we go into every day to progress and get stuff... DUNGEONS? Don't have gear? There's Palace. Hell, even Frontlines and 8v8 are better than ruining other people's attempts at actually being good at PvP.

This season just outright sucks. It's ridiculously easy to ruin anyone's enjoyment or progress, which makes the entire thing a joke. And if you're a person who gets off on doing that, you need help.

Not sure how you can be pretty sure of something when you weren't there with me staring at the guy. And yes, I did report them. Doesn't make it any less infuriating.

Been in some really sketchy matches today.

This seems more like a matchmaking problem than anything. A lot of games use a fairly wide method of grouping in order to get games through faster and that seems to be the one FF14 has been using. Only now, it is being used in ranked PvP, which creates problems because it is not considering skill level. This is generally the solo vs dynamic queue problem that shows up in a lot of team games. They simply need to make it so that your ranking is weighted and determines who you group with, but that would probably take some time to implement. Queue times will also increase significantly too.
