If you die, the DRK has to spend a good chunk of its MP to pop Grit, and loose access to Blood Weapon...because you messed up. If you die PLD has to turn ShO, costing some MP, throwing its damage roation off the road, reducing its Oath Gauge and killing its auto-attacks...because you messed up.

Those complains are becoming more and more silly...

Yeah I am aware that it wouldn't put us on par with dps damage wise. We're tanks were not supposed to be dealing as much damage as dps. I lived through the slaying meta in 3.0 before the .45/.45 vit/str nerf. I would fell cleave healers to death in Seal Rock. Good times but the aggro modifiers are somewhat concerning. SE did give melee dps a "quelling" as their cross class not to mention the burst some dps can do, ex SAM. It make stance dancing that much more difficult as the risk of losing hate becomes real. SE seems to really want to drive it home that when you choose a job be it tank, dps , healer that's all you'll be doing. Just wished they realized the difference between streamline and simplified. WAR was streamlined in 3.0 but simplified in 4.0.

Yeah I agree. They need to make the other finishers give 20 gauge to alleviate this boring rotation. I'm gonna hold out on WAR and see what SE says on the matter as they can always patch it. I'd hate to stop tanking but WAR was really the only tank I loved to play, aesthetic-wise and game play but I really hate being forced to spam our weakest damage combo for just 10 extra gauge and then simply spam FC. SAM is really starting to grow on me as it feels very much like WAR in 3.0 with how the combos synergy work so well together.

Now that Storm's Eye has the old Maim bonus, if you only spam Path, you'll lose a lot of damage. So you still rotate between two different combos most of the time, like you did in HW.

Yall do know that spamming storms path is suboptimal in the rotation right? You are supposed to weave in a butchers block combo in between storms eye combos so I usually go storm's eye->Path->BB->Path->Eye if you just do 3 paths then you get 10 gauge that is useless plus the butchers block combo does more damage. Before you guys start saying war rotation is "boring" please learn how to play it first.

If you do that, it seems to me that you'll lose Eye's buff for one or two GCD. Is the increased damage from BB makes up for that ?

Indeed, if you've seen my posts then you might have seen that the tank stance penalty is bullshit. Yoshida himself said that he wanted to make tanks and healers more fun. From all the complants to SCH losing AoE DPS, to WHM lilies(lol really? I bet it took whole 5 minutes to come up with that), DRK being less busy. Summoner even got nerfed with AoE and no longer having sustain(why have a tank pet anymore?). I love SB but the healer and tank balance has really been in the worst state its ever been.

so do i do butcher block for extra potency or storm eye for more fell cleaves ?? I can't even tank properly, i only do OT combo for higher dps and i have to do 2 full combos to get enough points to do fell cleave or decimate, unlike before (using infuriated out of fight) or using cooldowns like Vengeance Raw Intuition Berserk to increase my stacks fast and fell cleave or decimate o steel cyclone.

I noticed that everyone started complaining after Xeno posted his lvl 70 Warrior video, on my server people is having discussions in ralghr's reach reapeating Xeno's arguments word by word, and that makes me quite sad.
It is true, the penalty for switching stances sucks, it is also true that shake it off is absolutely and utter garbage. But the current state of warrior is not THAT bad.
I'm sick of that phrase "the planets have to line in order to do 6 fell cleaves" that everyone is repeating like a broken record. I find no difficulty doing 6 fell cleaves even after getting stuned sometimes, if you manage the cooldowns the right way you should be able to do all of the fell cleaves with 3 seconds left on internal release. I'm not sure about Onslaught yet, it costs beast gauge but I mostly use it in emergencies or as an extra way to hold aggro, I know is hella usefull when Susano pushes you for his line mechanic.

No, people complained before. About the same issues Xeno brought forward. He's just well known so once he said it it became more widespread. Despite you hearing about all these complaints, your post makes it seem you still don't understand them.

You mentioned the issues and then label them as not that bad. You also missed how WAR has absolutely NO utility now (so unless a warrior just plain tanks or does damage better than others, you'll NEVER be as viable) . You don't mention how the changes make the rotation flow like thick mollases.

Hell, you're sick of a phrase that no one uses.

If you had actually read this thread, you would have seen that most of the issues had already been brought up before Xeno posted his video.
