My husband and I started off playing together with a few of my friends. He decided it wasn't the game for him so I'm sort of on my own now and I just awkwardly run around. I know how you feel!

Major stabbing headache with a dozen or so icepick to spice it up each day. No western, eastern, traditional, experimental nor nature medicine has been able to remove it.
And Asperger, but Asperger is a benefit in my opinion ;)
But it makes it hard to get to know new people. Just not on the same brainwave.
I'm partially blind. I have the depth perception of a shoe, so things in an order at a distance (i.e. nidhogg's fireballs) are hard for me to see unless I spin my camera around to get a sense of distance -- but by then it's usually too late!
Thankfully I've shared this with a few in-game friends and they were very accommodating. I secretly hope that jumping puzzles never come to FFXIV for this reason!
Oh my, I hate jumping puzzles! I've talked of my problems, I also have equilibrium problems, and it affects me me ingame as well. One of the things I hate in Guild Wars 2 are the jumping puzzles, and most often I'm not capable of doing them. Yes, I really hope they don't add that.
In game name Spanky Mcdoogal. Been Disabled most my life, but recently stopped working about 6 years ago. I have Autism Spectrum Disorder Apergers side. ADHD, Bipolar disorder and chronic pain due to a S5 Disc bulge and Fibromyalgia. IM 33 in real life, with 4 kids, married and fighting to get on ssdi.
I ended up getting on SSI (a bit different than SSDI). It took me about 6 years. My brother just got on SSDI for ankylosing spondylitis, took him about 4 years. It can be a long drawn out process but for those of us with disabilities that make it impossible to work it really is the only option we have.
Hello. Sorry for not posting sooner, I had a rocky 2017...
I am a 21 year old part time college student. The reason I'm a "part time" student is because I have Three rare chronic illnesses. I have: Common Variable Immune Deficiency, Total iga Deficiency and chronic fatigue syndrome. Which Basically means I get much more easily than other people and I'm CONSTANTLY exhausted! When I get sick it lasts longer and it is much more severe then it would be in other people. I am almost always on antibiotics, which kills my appetite. There is no cure currently for any of my conditions, there is a treatment that would increase my quality of life... I was on that treatment for years but when I was 14 my insurance said it is "not medically necessary". I have been fighting them ever since.
Enough about me.
I was wondering what you guys would think of maybe starting a Free Company designed for people with disabilities or chronic health conditions? I say this because I have been thinking of joining a Free Company for awhile but most of them seem to have a policy about how many hours members are expected to play. This is problematic for me and those with similar struggles. Alternatively, I would love to know what Free Companies you guys have had good experiences with...
I am autistic and also have PTSD. I'm unable to get a job due to my disabilities, so I get SSI. No friends who live near me, unless you count my dogs, so I spend lots and lots of time playing video games.
Arthritic, chronically fatigued, issues with focusing, and a litany of other issues due to having Lyme Disease since middle school. I've been getting more functional over the past few years due to help from my doctors but those three main symptoms I mentioned have never ebbed; even as I transitioned from being bed bound to actually being able to do small little things each day that would inevitably leave me feeling like crap once I got home. I spend a lot of time just standing around in game, not doing much because of it. Thankfully I have SSI so some of my bills are covered, but the cost of medicine is so prohibitive so I feel like I'm stuck in one spot right now with no improvement. x_x
