Rage over Sophia

Ex trials aren't meant to be easy, they're at least easier than savage raids, but definitely is not something you should expect to clear in 1-2 hours with random DF people. Sophia ex may be considered easy, if you compare them to other ex trials in the past (when they were new). Mechanically it's not the easiest but it's a lot more forgiving to mistakes and low dps.

Some people take days, even weeks to clear ex trials (it took me a month to clear thordan ex back then without a static), I think you're just having wrong expectations since this is your first difficult fight. It's normal to take many hours before you understand all the mechanics and clear it. If you compare sophia to other ex trials in the past, yes it's one of the easiest, but if you never did savage or ex trials before, it is still considerably harder than normal trials, dungeons, mhach raids, and alexander normal mode.

Another tip about tank buster is that it will always hit the main tank even if off tank provokes her. After she hits MT with it she turns to OT. This was really confusing to me for like 10 tries.

Mechanically sephirot is simpler than sophia I think, but it's also a lot more punishing to mistakes and deaths. My first sophia ex clear had 16 deaths, every single member in my party died at least once, and we didn't get to enrage. I'm quite sure that's not something you'll see with any other ex trial before this.

As for the tank buster, there are several similar cases, notably perpetual ray in a8s and chastening heat in a12s (both of which also give vuln up to the tank receiving it, thus requiring tank swaps). For this kind of tank busters the co-tank must provoke during the cast.

Just some add-on, the easiest part of this primal makes me can collect all weapon for all job, only about 3 weapons is trade-in with totem (SCH,PLD,MNK). And those all from Raid Finder.

Just move your ass for some practice than whining/yelling others without reason.

Just a piece of advice, getting the micro tomestone for a 260 weapon and/or the gobdip for upgrading it to 270 would not be easier than beating sophia ex. If you're not going to put the effort into practicing and clearing sophia ex I don't think you'll last long in savage raids. You can also do normal alexander for 7 weeks to get the micro tomestone easily (though you need to wait 7 weeks).

Without being in your party it's impossible to say what is going wrong. So unless you want to transfer servers to Pheonix and I'll run your through myself there isn't much else I can say.

This is true, that said, you can get the micro tomestone via A12N after 7 weeks - we're on what, week 5? I stopped counting. The 270 upgrade item will probably be made available in easier methods at some point in 3.5.

Sophia HM is my worst primal, worse than Leviathan, because the floor tilting gives me vertigo. It is what it is.

If anything, you guys are the ones trolling. I made it perfectly clear in my opening post. I don't need help specifically with Sophia Ex. I'm usually the last one alive now in my attempts. All I asked for something to make me laugh or perk my mood up enough to keep trying. Instead, you all just heaped on me, claiming that I was a child and going out of your way to say how easy the trial was and how all of them and theirs cleared it. How EXACTLY did you expect me to react?

So yeah, I think I'm done here. Any SE mod out there? Please lock this thread. I've seen all of the community's attitude that I need to today.

It's not about our Attitude, it's about your Problem not understanding us. We gave you Advice and yet you refuse it and rant about us, the Players giving you Advice.

How about this, if you think you're already good enough for Sophia Ex, why not join a Sophia Ex Clear Group in Party Finder? That atleast would make more sense.

... If People fail in that Clear Group and you have done everything correct during that Attempt, you rather should be Proud of yourself that you made it that far and didn't ended up like these Players trying to get carried.

I told you that it wasn't needed. I understand the fight. I wanted somethings to make me feel less frustrated. Y'know, a joke or a meme or something. I hear the internet is good at that. Instead, I got another battle to fight here, so that's awesome. If this is you trying to make someone feel better, I'd hate to see it when you're trying to make them mad. Don't think you're just the innocent little bumpkin here and you're up against a psycho. When someone is clearly having problems and people come along telling them how easily they beat the challenge they're stuck on, what's the anticipated reaction?
