A sense of progression and "YES! I DID IT!" parts would be a good start.

I lol'd hard at the "3 informative hours later"
This thread is amazing, every strip becomes such a success when you nail the right momentum with a parody. Those are experiences that we all identify with, where we wanted to pull our hair out, moments where the game opened up and our jaw dropped and moments where "common ffxi logic" hit us in the face.
that was brilliant, please do one for XIV haha
omg, love it!!
I really miss the danger you had to face once you decided to travel to another city-state. In XIV I did that all on my first day. :(
Though, the comic pretty much sums up what I experienced too. It was just in Sarutabaruta. Friend and I got killed by a hare when we first set foot into Tahrongi Canyon. And the Dunes where like miles away~
*sigh* Memories~ *wipes off tear*
XDD haha! win!
Thanks for sharing! It was a fun read and all too true. XDD
I loved the comic! Nice job!
I, too, was a Bastok Tarutaru. A rare breed, we were. I chose the largest size, which made me a veritable freakshow. You were more likely to see a unicorn walking the streets of Bastok than a giant Tarutaru.
There's just one thing, though.... I didn't get a Bastokan ring! You only got that if you were a Hume or a Galka starting in Bastok. Racist city....
I don't know...maybe they changed that later on. But I remember really feeling left out not having that ring. :p
