I hope that - in the future - we get something similar to FFIX's 'Chocobo Hot and Cold' minigame. That was a lot of fun and I feel like making that game into something bigger would work out well for FFXIV.

So you tell me this, why would we need an incentive to get esoterics? Is ilvl 200 gear not enough already? If the demand for more players grinding for esoterics is that important then what has everyone been doing for the past 6 months? I'll answer that for you, grinding for esoterics. I don't see your point dude, in fact it seems like a poor excuse to make opposition. I recommend reading my points again as you don't see where I'm focusing my interests here, and if you do, well I dunno what I can do for you. Stage right, new domain. :/
Have fun with Fallout 4 though, I'm not a survival game kind of guy.
Still won't stop others from looking at theirs (as they have the right to keep) and including the fact that I can't solo these It'd feel like I'm doing less work for my team by running around aimlessly (in their eyes).
Tbh, I actually would take your advice if I was absolutely sure that there was hidden content, because that would mean there's something I can find on my own along with list I pushed to the side, its fun to find hidden new things. I may have to look at the stream again to see if they mentioned hidden secret mobs, because that would be pretty rewarding. Hell, I'd be even ok with the list IF there was something hidden I could find. Otherwise its just a scavenger/monster hunt
Those so-called "to do lists" are just a bunch of "kill trash, collect stuff if you want extra fluff". Serious groups would rampage through it in 10 mins if they even want to and then proceed to explore and hunt marks for chests. However it'll be fine for DF groups because that gives at least a chance for some stuff if your group is sub-par and can't compete in the hunting fields (like, wiping on mobs) (you know it will happen)
I think you have to kill enemies to make the chests pop up. And I hope i have not spoiled too much with this
Caution, big spoiler: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhG1...outu.be&t=2953
yeah the chests will just be dropped after we kill mobs, and their grade will be dependent of the monster "rank".
There is almost certainly far more content than what is displayed on the list. Those are just the "bonuses" you can complete to get extra rewards. There will be plenty of high level mobs running around, gathering spot, and secrets beyond those few items listed there...
I hope so. Even with my current gripes about the upcoming patch I'm still hyped for it. Mainly because I've been waiting for 6 months for this and I'm so friggen bored of the same thing that if a moogle flew up to my room window at my fc house my mind would f#$%in explode.
