Idk, I rather a house be bought by someone who plans to use it, not just have it just to have it. The Inn room works just as well for your everyday needs.
SE will simply increase the duration if PSN goes down for X amount of days.

90 days, and tied to whether or not the account was actively subscribed would have seemed like a better deal, but I'm not going to complain that something's actually getting done about what really is a major problem.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if they'd introduce instanced housing for players unaffiliated with an FC or in an FC that doesn't have access to housing, for a lower cost. That way everyone could benefit, but you'd just have the option of choosing between a fully instanced room/house or a neighborhood experience.
In all honesty, this doesn't surprise me one bit. They picked the most limiting version of housing for their resources, and then decided to go the "inactivity timer" to force players to continue to sub + log in or lose their plot. Not only that, all non-recoverable items are gone. I'd feel for them seeing that I've seen some of the more rare items go for millions (more than a small house cost easily). I could have bought a small a while back, but seeing how they handled this all so far, I've stayed away.
I would be perfectly fine if they extended the time if psn was down for more than two weeks. While it was a rare occurrence still I feel it is possible it can happen again.
