Story is still tons of easy EXP, maybe OP already forgot about that.
Just imagine if new player that join would be forced to do Fate + wait dungeon all day =/ that for sure a good reason to not join this game.
Story is long yes, but very rewarding, and i don't think it should be removed.

Ones who understand that time is money and the more time spent by people...the more money for SE especially for a subscription based MMO which is why grind and effort is needed, why there is no instant win button for the game, why SE tries to avoid P2W services plus why the requirement of gating aspects of the game through level requirements, ilevel requirements or story progression is essential.Quote:

Grind should only exist when there's justification for it. This is why every major patch roll out something became easier to obtain. They have shown a consistent track record of wanting to push people into current, more popular content sooner every major update. Back then it was still justified to keep the story fluff and continue making it because there was a definitive end. But now, we're going to have new fluff for a new story and piling that fluff on top of current fluff is going to clog something. And honestly I'm on the boat that believes that gating the expansion is a good thing. This game IS very story driven, that is good. Side episodes that lead to nowhere is bad. We want folks to enjoy the story where it is important.
Helping to setup your own banquet before setting out to fight Titan was legit and built on something.
Fetching tea leaves or some such shit for Tataru didn't amount to a damn thing and she can get off her lazy ass and do it herself. -
