Benchmark is out

For some reason, the benchmark wouldn't work right out of the downloads folder after being extracted. The license agreement would show up blank and the program would run but not produce a screen. Copy and pasted into documents and everything ran fine. Trying to correct the "read only" was a loop of failure. Good to go now. 3475 score on desktop high.

Do you need to have a PC version of the game to run the benchmark?

Nope, it's a separate software that can be downloaded without buying the PC version of the game. It's free and you can download it in any PC you want to try out. This software was mostly intended to check if your PC is able to run the game.

I was checking the effects, and the shadows/lights now look amazing. The shadow used to clip with the character's model before with the DX9 but now it's really smooth.

Well im glad this came out tonight. I stayed up tonight to get used to staying up since I go in on midnight shift tonight. I thought maybe Id finally finish off the extreme mode primals. Well I beat Mog no problem and got to try Ramuh once. Then this was the rest of my night lol.

Over 3 and a half hours. I was queued on my ps4 while I played with the benchmark on pc. (Though maybe if not for the benchmark more people would have been playing. Hmm...)

This might sound daft but is this benchmark business it's only available for pc right?

Everyone would get the same score if they did it with PS4 or PS3, which would be pointless.

I'm running a gtx 660 on windows 7. I ran a dxdiag and it say I'm running dx11. But my benchmark software does not recognise it. The drop down that would allow me to select dx11 is completely missing. Does this mean I don't have the correct version of dx11?

Are they letting go of the PS3 soon? I have no idea how that 9 year old machine is going to handle a next gen expansion.

any idea how to check gear with different areas,seems the only time i can get my new character to wear gear is only outside with the crystal background,and that makes me a sad panda
