No it doesn't....because the post at no point mentions that anything should be changed because of eased difficulty. Re: reality. Re: learn to read. Re: See the post at the top of page 5. Every valid argument has been considered.

This is your point, paraphrasing, that "because you didn't mention it, it shouldn't be relevant to the discussion."
Ignoring these counterpoints as invalid doesn't help your argument.
Also, keep it classy about accusing 'poor reading competence'. I'm sure that will make your posts influential.
It's not a counterpoint. It's an argument you're trying to introduce into my already established argument. The argument has never never never been about eased difficulty.
But if you REALLY want to have it included:
The Ironworks Rod is easier to get now.
∴ wait i'm not mad about this what does this have to do with the OP?
That was only half the argument.
Again.
Everything inevitably falls into obselescence. your rod is not special anymore. 2.5 was a catch up patch for every doh and dol class, which is why Artisan sets are now a huge handout making crafted artisans not-so special. and crummy glamours too, for that matter.
Your thing? Not really a thing.
I see, so all that HARD WORK that people did max melding 8 sets of DoH AF, undone into irrelevance by a super simple turn-in, that's fine, but no, they can't make your HARD WORK max farming as FSH to get an achievement, undone into irrelevance by a turn-in of its own.
Where is the consistency here?
Oh, wait, that actually is rather consistent.
At this point you have no viable argument. Only those who have the achievement get the title, and the lucis can be dyed to look a great deal like any other fishing rod, even the supposed special glamour of luminary. Because fishing rods are inherently small and lacking significant detailing.
Aside from the subsequent posts, I do agree with regards to the aesthetics of the Ironworks Fishing Rod. I guess with the name I was expecting something a little more visually striking for the achievement and when I equipped it I was a bit disappointed!
Just to clarify, I am totally fine with the rod being out dated. I get that's how it works and I get the bonus of my retainers being able to use the rod. At the same time, I'm not going to complain about the suggestion of an upgrade to the aesthetics of the rod and I don't really understand why so much negativity has been drawn from the OP.
Everyone responding seems to be fishers and if the devs were to take anything from this and change the Ironworks it would only effect your fishing in a positive way.
Okay OP, I will do you a bit of a favor.
Let's say for the sake of argument, there was a following large enough for SE to decide to take their attention away from other content to make this cosmetic change you are demanding.
Here is a side by side of the differences between Luminary, Ironworks, and a metallic gold-dyed Lucis.

Why don't you explain HOW you want it to be different from these? Don't forget the 'iron'.
I'm happy to wait for your kind response.
I'd love it if the rod had similar aesthetics of the other Ironworks weapons! As long as they add Spacefishing.
