I hate hearing about some of the crappy DF behavior that goes on. I feel fortunate to have a relatively pleasant dungeon/trial runs in DF. My only bad experiences include:
* A tank who barked orders and insults at everyone in the party
* A tank who stealth left dungeon after finding out he was dutied with all noobs to Lost City of Amdapor.
I feel that if you roll up for a duty and have expectations or intend to run the dungeon differently than intended... you should be up front about it. How hard is it to say, "Hey guys, just here for the first boss, that okay?" and let your party mates decide. I'm sure most players would be willing to deal (though they may be a bit irritated). In my above experience, it would have been polite for the tank to simply say, "Hey guys, I don't feel like teaching you guys the dungeon, gonna drop". I still would've been irritated, but he wouldn't have gone to my "do-not-group-with-ever" list as I would have appreciated his honesty.
The easiest way to handle this would, of course, be to increase the penalty for dropping group midway through a run. Make it more time efficient for the tank to remain in group than to leave 3 other people hanging in a group probably won't finish the run... over and over and over again.
