The PS3 release is supposed to be the thing that will make them earn money. What I see is that during the beta, people were saying : don't worry, they will get rid of them when the beta is over, before the monthly fee, people were saying : don't worry, they will get rid of them when they'll have to pay, and now we have to wait for the 2.0. There are already a lot of things wrong with xp in FFXIV (such as the PLing), so if they leave the bots, multiboxers, gilsellers, ... I feel like they will loose more players than they will win with 2.0.
Well as it is right now Durandal is closed for new players right now cause its overfilled, so ill be happy to see all the botters/RMTs go, cause that will open the server for legit players :3
