The problem isn't atma being grindy or anything. For me it's the FATEs and the RNG. Well, maybe a bit grind too, because what's more tedious than doing endless amounts of easy, uninteresting FATEs. I feel absolutely no accomplishment from doing that.

ok then why did coil get echo buff? why did harder things get nerfed? why does hm's and chimera have echo now? why is content being eased up on? it's because they feel like it right?

Rng is fine
Grinding is fine
Low level (or high level) fate farming isn't fine

All a lot of people want is a more varied/enjoyable way to farm the atmas

lol good one it's because a majority of players had a hard time, how come after echo buff was added the amount of players doing and beating the content increased? because so many new players started to join? good one.

How do you know the majority of players couldn't beat the content before echo? You don't. Yeah, the number will increase but that does not indicate that the majority of players found the content to be too difficult.

Stop trying to speak for the majority. You can't do it. And you're failing so hard at it.
