Can I have the letter "D" waymark?

I wasn't talking about the OP (especially since you chose to cut off what I was actually talking about), but thanks. Also, how is it restrictive "without any reason"? You just proved my point that people would just ask for more and more if they added the 'D mark' because then it wouldn't be "good enough and we need an "E Mark".

How is it restrictive? People who use it never said as such or felt as such, some even relocate the 3 marks we have on the fly depending on the situation. Sure it would seem as such with a PUG because good luck herding them properly, but with organized raid groups? It hasn't been viewed as 'restrictive.'

If it was up to me, I would add waymark for every party member (so 8 waymarks A to H) and separate waymarks for each party role (tank_symbol_1, tank_symbol_2, healer_symbol_1, healer_symbol_2, DPS_symbol_1, DPS_symbol_2, DPS_symbol_3, DPS_symbol_4). If you asked me, I'd rather you start working on the above expansion and put useless things like housing on the backburner.

What you're saying, the current system was developed for one dungeon in the game, that is not worth playing at this point at all (well, except for vanity, I guess?)? And when players ask for the system to be expanded for easier use in ALL content of the game, your argument is that weshouldn't be using the system outside of The Crystal Tower? It's not like we're asking for a waymark for every Jōyō Kanji here.
Anyway, this system is not even close to awesomeness of AVR.

Can I have some other letters so I can spell out obscene words to the party/ alliance?

Guys they don't want us to be able to spell BAD with waymarks for fear it would be used to harrass other players, can't you see?!

Not only the elitist groups use the waymark system, but casuals and PUGs too. If I have 7 people with me and I'm explaining positioning to them, you bet as all hell that I would rather send each one of them to a distinct waymark (see my post above). And as such, even "E mark" doesn't cut it. We need at least up to H!

It's designed for alliance content - In all reality it was thrown in as a nice little extra in a sub patch. No one mentioned using it outside of CT, especially not the rep, especially when you realize most content in this game is actually 4 man, which kind of negates the need for even 4 because the content (as of now) rarely need more positions when you think about it. Also when you think about it, if the line of thinking you're using holds true..why can't we use Alliance feature outside of "one dungeon"? Why was it thrown in for only "one dungeon that's not worth doing anymore"? It's not a foreign concept for a company to design features to serve more purpose in the future xD.

Also, Housing is a 'standard feature' in MMORPGs (and even single player titles), this kind of marking system isn't even really standard if you feel housing is 'useless.'

Yeah, everyone uses it, that's why it's more of a 'nice little feature" than anything, so it's not really that restrictive when most content in this game is 4 man anyway :p

I didn't "prove your point" about asking for more and more waymarks. I said nothing about adding further waymarks other than "D". It's restrictive because SE only intended the marks to be used in alliances, thus restricting it to their rules of thinking. If they really wanted waymarks to only be used for that purpose, they should've made them useable only in alliance environments... otherwise they need to realize the multi-purpose use for these waymarks outside of alliances.

For example, Having 4 waymarks would be beneficial in situations where the mobs would be split into two groups, like one pair for the boss's beginning/ending positions and then the second set for the adds' beginning/ending positions.

Also having 4 waymarks would work for the majority of 4-man content so that each team member would have their own waymark.

Is it possible to add more than letters?
like "Dont stay here" sign
or "AOE" sign for certain area

Seriously SE we need the D. Alliances don't even use waymarks and the addition of D won't screw up or confuse anyone with more than half a brain cell. GIVE US THE D!

Then shouldn't there be 9? One waymark is not enough for any strategy for a single party. 3 is already not enough for a 4 man party, as most things we'd like to mark are in 4s. 1 per party is a sad excuse.
