the problem is the people that liked them did not come in here to say anything. people that are happy with certain things do not come in and cry and complain about them. now it is being taken away the people that were doing the weird thing like actually playing the game are giving their reaction to removing the only thing that people come into the game looking forward to.
this is the problem with listening too much to the forums in general. if they want to take ideas off it and put it in overall players polls that people actually signed in and voted on then i can bet the results will show completely different results.
they did a great job originally with the players poll right after yoshi first took over. they have went away from this method because he seen the changes he wanted to make were not what the majority voted for so he went the tanaka route and is doing what he wants instead of listening to the players.
I personally think they're taking the right direction, but only if they're giving us some other party-driven content instead. I think people are afraid that they will have nothing to do now, more so than they're worried about getting less SP.
think they did this cuz they dont want to add a real party search :( & most people probably solo most of the time.
I believe they have done the right thing too. In the meantime the party content is fully implemented I will just either do the rank 30 dungeon, quest hubs (If we go with the producers letter from Yoshida at the beginning of may), what ever other quests they have introduced and/or do leves as usual (Because Leves are still there for groups).
People seem to think the leve reform is only for solo players, but two things are getting fixed here. The solo/casual player reward and healthy partying with leves, encouraging now to finish the leve instead of the previous fail method. Nothing has been taken away.
I agree with you on he leveling speed. I personally can't speak for anyone in this thread, but I'm happy leve linking won't allow people to skyrocket to 50 anymore. (Hopefully) The game, to me, is at a point right now where having a 50 DoM/DoW class is a joke purely due to how fast you can get there via leve linking and doing -nothing else-. I hope they add more ways for people to level up, both for solo oriented and party oriented players.
And you think you, as one of the most complaining players about pretty much EVERY aspect of the game, are a valid resource of what should be changed or kept in the game?
The only thing you preach is the armageddon on each and every patch, before it even happened.
I can only repeat myself here. People will ALWAYS do what's currently the best SP/H. If it's not gonna be leves anymore after the patch, they will find equal grinding spots to raptors, for ALL rank ranges. If leves are still gonna be more SP/H than grinding on mobs, people will go on grinding through leves and if neccesarry will go on failing them.
All I can say is, grinding a class through leves is WAY TOO FAST atm. It almost seems like people can't even remember how all of this started and back then people never complained about SP at all! Before the November SP Patch, people grinded on mobs with 15man PTs trying to get hit as much as possible, so casters can get their SP and fighting mobs so way above your rank, so 12 DDs can hit it long enough to get SP before it dies.
After the November Patch the whole leve link/fail thing was already viable. Most people didn't know about it though so it was a thing limited to the players who actually found out about it themselves. I have been in such a group that tested such stuff and we have been a static of 4. Back in early december you know what a 4way linked Leve WITH Aspect gave us SP wise? Freaking 300SP per mob AND WE WERE HAPPY!
The only reason why people complain about this whole leve stuff is, cause they either never experienced the "old times" where people still were happy about the SP, even if it was only 10k SP/h, or they are just lazy asses who want to get to 50 ASAP...
Sorry I remember the times before this whole leve link/fail thing startedand the times right after the leve link/fail was possible and gave HALF the SP than it does right now...and right now I'd prefer the slower grind WAY more than grinding through failed leves in 4 weeks and ding 50.
The problem is not the guildleve change, but what is the planned main focus in party rank progression. If we're going to sit around and make ridiculous statements that we're glad people with more time progress faster (really, why?) we could be raising better questions in abundance to get a word from devs.
They are changing leves. That's great. Give us your new direction then. It's starting to look like they don't have one and that is what is ultimately pissing people off.
