[Suggestion] Trial of the Magians

me personally, i liked the toughness of ffxi, not the time sink........and hope they come out with some challenging fun content. personally, my favorite was nyzul isle, except doing 100 floors of it, maybe 20-40 and up the difficulty some=

Aside from some very questionable NM choices (Black Triple Stars? Really?) and some lack of foresight (infrequency of hot spells) the initial rollout of TotM (weapons) wasn't entirely bad. The idea of building a weapon was a decent way for players to avoid the drama of HNMs and NM claiming. Turning it into a slog in Abyssea to massage the egos of people who had Relic and Mythic weapons was a gigantic mistake, however, and the devs only compounded their mistakes since that point with Geode and Avatarite trials.

I wouldn't mind an adaptation of it in XIV (a tie-in with the Mogglesguard would not be a great stretch, if you think about it) if the targets, quotas, and conditions were reasonable (5 Ifrit/Garuda/Titan HM clears each, for example, isn't too much to ask depending on the iLv. of the base weapon. 10 EX clears each would veer way too close to the Tanaka zone for my liking).

They'd probably just make every trial to do 250 FATEs each >.>

Didn't much care for the system in FFXI and don't much care for the idea of it in FFXIV. I'd rather have BCNMs back in the form of guildhests that drop loot or something.

Come on Matt Red Mage Fight for all..... Everyone should have to endure those loving moments...lol I don't mind it later in game but I do agree I don't want to have to do something 3k time on a certain day when there fog and fight this MoB

Omg you are so evil XD i don't want to experience Matt Red Mage fight ever again, PC peripherals cost too much these days to replace when you destroy them out of anger and frustration. ; ;

Now you know what, I will admit I miss Nyzul Isle. Well, except the lamps. But I always like dungeon crawler games and that place definitely scratched that itch.
