[Poll] What Job should Conjurer unlock?

I bet they'll go for whitemage, with all the different kinds of heal, rise (and all the buffs) CON got with 1.18.
I'd rather be a blackmage though, because that's what I originally wanted to do as a CON (nuke monsters with heavy dmg elemental spells).
I'm already unhappy right now, because most of the time I'm asked to be the main healer in a party while I actually want to
fight too, and that's just going to get worse if CON becomes whitemage..

CON should and probably will be going white mage
While THM will end up being a red mage class/maybe black mage if they give THM the elemental spells from CON.

So you are saying we will have a healer and a red mage, and no magic nuke class. Highly unlikely. THM and CON will either be blm or whm, we wont have rdm unless they allow a hybrid quest to unlock RDM via having THM and CON both at ___ rank required to do said quest.

ATM I am saying what i think is likely. I am sure if this is the case a BLM class will be added. In no way though do I see CON going BLM at this point. I see THM going either RDM or BLM, but this is all speculation on my part.

"Currently the "Job" names that finalized are: Paladin, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Dragon Knight, Bard."

Red mage is not on the list of the first 6 jobs comming out. I am not going to do the search atm, but I know for certain it was mentioned in a dev post, that the future could very likely unlock jobs based on a combo like CON+THM=RDM.....that part I am certain was mentioned, but the rest of the details I do not recall.

For now, though, these 6 are all there is. Reguardless of how many times people want to post what jobs they want to see in the first round of them.

the dev post did leave alot of confussing haze about what will happen job wise with archer/muarader....so technically there will be 7 total.....

Point is, its eatablished that BLW and WHM are al for mages atm.

THM getting the elemental nukes is my biggest fear. This will completely and utterly destroy the conjurer and thm lore. ><
I am hoping that it will be more like THM unlocking BLM which will give boosts to damage type spells sort of how Scholar worked in FFXI with dark arts and light arts. White Mage will be unlocked by Conjurer and give boosts/bonus to healing type spells.... again like Scholar in FFXI. I think this is the best way to add in a white mage and black mage without breaking the lore of con and thm. ^^ Please SE, don't destroy the lore of con and thm!

Id love to see my CON turn into a SMN, although I always had a "celestial" view of Summoners. But we don't have a White Mage in XIV so...

Either way, CON nor THA seems to fit the SMN image for me. >_<

Wheres the option for both? Its entirely possible and I am hopeful that you can make conjurer a Whm OR a Blm. Likely the same for Thm atm. Such as Blm/Thm, Blm/Con, Whm/Con, and Whm/Thm.
I took it to mean job classes would replace the spot that is currently physical level, in that one will have a weapon class AND a job class with the ability to mix and match several options. At least I really hope that is the case.

Why would thm get elemental nukes? You realize this isn't FFXI and that BLM can very easily just refer to the heaviliy caster DD oriented job thm will get, which is basically what the devs have hinted at so hard, they might as well just come out and say it.

Actually, no its not very possible to happen at all. Unless they changed there mind, they clearly stated that at this time all classes will have 1 job and one job only in the immediate future of upcomming updates.......All the went on to say was some time after that, combo jobs such as conj+thm=rdm were possible.

What your saying you would like to see, they already clearified is not in there plans.

Actually, I rechecked and they said they are aiming for each class to unlock 1 job each, yes, but have been exceedingly vague about anything else.
This could well mean that you need to level con to 20, do a quest and unlock blm as a job class. Then say level thm to 20 to unlock whm. You now would have the ability to change classes freely between thm & con choosing whm or blm role for either one. Maybe you later level gla to 20 and unlock pld, now allowing you to be a paladin thaumaturge if you so desired.

Its all conjecture, but nonetheless, nothing officially stated renders my conjecture impossible, & I remain hopeful.
