Not going to lie, I've done that before, but as brd. I just didn't feel like going through X amount of runs and having the other brds (we all know everyone is a brd lol) get theirs and drop only to get another brd who joins and gets theirs again. I kind of wish pt finder was out back when I was farming Garuda for blm staff. Nine hours of nothing, random blm joins in, gets it first run, drops pt -.-


I don't really aim for a specific piece of gear when I do CT though, I just take the first, maybe 2nd piece that drops. Less time wasted going for a single piece and I still get an upgrade.
