Did they add this in a mini update? Because the option to hide pet bar was not there the first two months.

There are many situations where pets behave bad. Like in Aurum Vale.... when Eos get a lot of Gold dust stacks she keeps healing herself trying to stay alive so she wont heal anyone else.
The problem wouldn't be there if pets didn't get affected by those irremovable(!) poison stacks. They clearly overlooked pets when designing AV. Or maybe Locksmith is buggy, because Mistress's poison can stack up to 9 stacks on the fairy and doesn't even hurt her that much.
Yeah pets shouldnt get affected by unremoveable debuffs. They cant eat the damn fruit.
I understand not wanting to setup a gambit type system for the pets and believe the pet macros will be great. However, would it be possible to setup a check/uncheck system to have more control on what skills a pet uses. Even with the Guard/Steady/Obey/Sic there are problems that just cause the pet to cast anything and everything sometimes. It would be nice if you could check/uncheck a skill so your pet would not use the skill unless you yourself clicked the skill.
That's like saying "don't bother to eat the fruit and just raise your dead party members when they die off poison". Sure, you could waste a swiftcast to resummon your fairy every time, but that's still a 3s loss of healing, plus some more seconds until the fairy AI is up and healing again. I tried going with that back when I wasn't overgeared for the dungeon and it didn't quite work. In the end I just had to let her die and heal alone. Which wasn't pretty.
Finally. Eos and Selene skills will take only 4 slots instead of 8 if we can make macros.
example
/ac seleneskill <t>
/ac eoskill <t>
if Eos is summoned it will only do the second line, if Selene is summoned it will only do the first.
If you don't want knockback use Ifrit, if you don't want stun use Garuda.
That's not really an issue. I think it's a good point, since it determines when a pet is useful and when it's not.
Some really poor but easy-to-understand examples:
Amdapor Keep 1st boss -> use Garuda-Egi to send away adds or Ifrit-Egi to occasionally stun them and do more burst damage
Hydra -> use Ifrit to avoid voids in the middle where Garuda usually stands
Ifrit fight -> use Garuda-Egi to avoid stun resistance
Trash mobs -> use Ifrit to occasionally stun them and do more burst damage (no need for contagion on them)
and so on.
