Base on what kind of plan you have, I bet you have to pay more to get more internet speed. I had to upgrade when I was hired to work as CRT for U-Haul and have a cold-connection instead of Wi-Fi.

Right now my PING is 32ms, Download speed is 8.13Mbps and Upload speed is 6.69 Mbps from my laptop(and that's crap for me) basicly an F+ rating but I play ARR fine on my desk-top, with occasional lag. It's there but not enough for me to complain.

If you believe your lagging because of the servers, it could be that your data-capacity with your ISP is limited.

As I have mentioned before, I've already done all that. If the issue was my internet speed then other games would be affected as well, and as I have already mentioned in my previous posts, I only have lag issues with FF14.

I really don't want to be rude or sound condescending, but each page of the threads in these forums is about 10 posts long, why is it so hard to read them before posting a suggestion other people have already suggested and that I have repeatedly said already did? :( It gets a bit frustrating having to answer the same question page after page.

Anyways, here's my result from speedtest to get it out of the way:

edit: I live less than 3 hours from Montreal. Ping is around 30ms, but that has nothing to do with it. It's the loss of packets. If I ping their server during prime time I get "timed out" pings about every 20 pings, sometimes 2 or 3 in a row.

I live really close to the OP (same city), and I get 105ms with that CMD prompt. But instead of TWC I have AT&T U-Verse(fiber optic). Not much of an improvement but at least it is one. If the OP is living in high-density living, like a high-rise, apartment complex, etc. 114ms is the best you can get, if you switched to U-Verse or Fios it would be 10% better at most for another $10/mo over TWC.

I have a few reasons I am not going to continue my Sub for this game.

1. This 2 month old unaddressed/ignored major lag issue for 50% of the NA user base.
2. Some of the worst customer support I have seen in any online service I have ever been a customer of.
3. Bad/No end game.

I could put up with the really bad, almost non existent end if I could play on my own time. Instead of having to wait for windows of less lag to get a chance to farm the same content over and over.

If all players ran from a single source in the servers, of course we'd all lag. But there are many sources, and many parts of the server we connect to, in order to play the game. So in general for me, I'm in Oregon, with an average of 88ms Ping to the NA Servers. However as of right now, it's very difficult to run Garuda, as everything lags and jumps around almost constantly. I still lose the run due to pugs, but that's another rant for another time.

I should not be lagging, but I am. Location isn't the core issue (as server lag is a problem here), but it plays a part in it.

Your logic is backwards.

If the issue was the servers. Than everyone would lag. The issue is not the servers.

The issue has to do with location because, if you read any info provided in any of these threads about this issue, of back packet loss when going thru certain routing points to get to the servers.

I suppose I shouldn't have been so vague then. I'm aware of the type of issue that's going on. I've already had to go through a much heavier problem of an identical issue with League of Legends. But the question here is, which routing points are the issues, which isp's might be involved. But when I mention servers as I did, it's because they aren't completely out of the question. Yes, this is clear that they aren't the core issue. However, there is the possibility that the cause of issue may reflect on their side of the problem as well.

For example. While I'm unfamiliar with the workings that went on behind the scenes, LoL had managed to do a few hot patches and work around that would ease the problem for a number of players with the issue. I wouldn't consider SE so useless in this equation to say that it's all the fault of a 3rd party, and they can't do anything to fix it from there side. Not saying they can either, but I'd rather not give such a pass to it so quick.

Actually, you are wrong. Most servers have fail safes setup to keep that from happening, like limiting certain incoming connections during congestion times to make QOS better for other people connected.
