I'm at the 50 gear grind point.
Frankly, I don't see what the problem is. There's lots of stuff for me to do, lots of ways to have fun.
My secret? I have these magical things called friends.

Speed runs content....
Complains about having nothing to do....
Seems legit....
I love threads like these, and how people will come in and act like these aren't issues.
I mean, most things are open to opinion but, even for a "fresh game", this small amount of endgame content is not acceptable, simply because MMO Developers know that a great deal of players will focus on one job (most mmo's only allow you to do one job per character anyway) and rush that to endgame.
As long as there are people willing to defend a bad design, corporate people who don't actually understand what games a game fun, and are merely trying to make the most profitable version of WoW that they can, will be less likely to see the problems.
It seems the main point of grievance, and the primary point of desire is the acquisition of equipment. The OP seemed to be primarily (solely?) concerned about equipment, and none of the other aspects of this world.
I'm not entirely convinced that acquiring equipment was meant to be the primary goal here.
Given that, perhaps look at the game as it was meant to be viewed, and then decide if that is the game you want to play. If the purpose of this game is to 'explore', 'adventure', 'meet people', 'try out a variety of jobs/crafts' then perhaps look at it from that perspective.
If that is not what you wish from a game (which is perfectly acceptable) than you may not be getting what you want here (also acceptable!) Not every game is designed to attract everyone in the world ^.^
See, I'm of the impression that this game is still quite new(well ARR anyhow) they haven't even released the first patch yet. They've stated that more end game content is on its way. Considering they just built this game from the ground up, and improved its score from various critics from a 4/10 to near 7 or 8/10...I say just relax.
this is the price you pay for completing end game content the first month and playing 10/20 hours a day.
I love how you casually stick masturbating in there. +rep.
Here are some things that I do to pass the time:
1. Make gil. Despite all the recent hooplah about character suspensions, I have no problems making gil. Even if some gets taken away, I can make a lot of it quickly by gathering.
2. Explore new jobs. You can widen your horizons by gearing and learning to play a new class. You'll never know when it might come in handy plus you might find your new main job!
3. Do all the class quests. Have you looked at all the class quests? They're fun to read and the cutscenes are great!
4. Make new friends. One of my favorite things to do when I'm bored is to go outside the Adventurer's guild and show all the greenies my awesome, in a nice way of course. New people can be friendly and it's fun to watch them level and grow, so put them on your friends list and offer to help out!
5. Have a good time. Even in the Amdapor Bore you can have fun. I try to be as silly as possible (party permitting) and take dumb screen shots as I mow through mobs.
